Hello 👋🏽 it’s Alix here, all 5ft 2 of me!

I’ve been keeping my head down working on lots of internal things recently. Which I have loved exploring and super excited to share!

I just want to say, small business life can be tough. Imposter syndrome can get to you, and comparison to others can be hard. But if you stay true to yourself, your own values and remember what you stand for. People will fall in love with your true authentic self 🤍

I just want to say a massive thank you to for all their support and the lovely community of conscious business I have around me!

This is a conceptual Scottish design and build firm, Jigsaw brings together the best in the industry to create high end design builds. They piece together the most sustainable elements, to create your dream home that allows nature to be, and your family to thrive.

This brand shares a strong ethos and aligns with people that shares similar values. The brand name not only has a double meaning but it resonates with the firms purpose in bringing together the best in the business, to create the most refined high end, sustainably sourced materials and builders within Scotland.

Having a visual brand that aligns with your businesses vision, mission and ethos is super important. I wanted to create a logo that felt familiar and approachable, though has custom elements that give the wordmark an edge. The combination of soft and sharp elements of the wordmark ties in with the archetiectural designs explored at Jigsaw.

Building your own business that is routed in purpose and doing something you love is definitely a 10/10. Though this is your reminder that it can be tough, it takes time & that it is totally a-okay, here’s some tips to help lighten the load!

✨ Working from home? - Have a designated work space, I’m not meaning a sepearte room (we don’t all have that luxury). Though it can be as easy as the kitchen table, though when you’re there to work, get your candles, have your crystals and plants around you it can truely help shift the mindset to work mode.

✨Build structure - When you are your own boss, self discipline is key. Build a morning routine doing what you love. Block out time in your days to focus on certain aspects of the business, create a pirority list and work your way through it effectively. You’ll get there - I promise!

✨ One. day. a. week - We can often get carried away working in the business, putting clients first and forgetting about growing our own business internally. Try designating one day a week to working on the business not in the business. From working with a business coach, updating your website, reading a book to help with personal growth. It is all valuable to building your vision & keeping you & your business in tip-top condition.

✨ TAKE TIME OFF - Your own mental health is key to successfully achieving your vision, if your not feeling creative or struggling to find motivation. Go a walk and throw on a podcast, make a coffee, read your book for 30 mins or pop to the gym. What ever it takes to feel you again, do it - it’s the joys of running your own gig!

Branding should never (NEVER) be an after thought - branding consists of lots of research, hours of anaylising and refining who you are, how you want your business to be percieved, and specifically who you are targeting?

You want to tap into your target audiences minds - from your businesses product or service, your aesthetic, tone of voice, to how you respond to comments and answer the phone. This all refines who you are and most importantly your brand💫

The amazingly fun ladies behind Bandi, Nicole and Frankie, grew up sharing clothes and a love for a greener mother earth. While exploring the world whenever they would met they would swap, borrow, exchange clothes to spice up their wardrobe. Their clothes ended up on some fun adventures, in other friends wardrobes and even being traded in festival fields. This circle of clothes swapping sparked imagination and with support from their loved ones they got Bandi rolling.

Partnering with The Workshop the last few months based out of Toronto and creating some incredible work. The Bandi brand is full of life and has lots of character to represent the community of people supporting their ethos.
