Hello and welcome to Tilly Marketing Services. Firstly, thank you to my clients for giving me a chance to work with you, it's been an exciting journey and encouraged me to keep going. Yes, I've finally gotten around to my website.

About Us
Throughout this journey, I've met like-minded freelance marketers, which inspired me to collaborate on projects because they, too, miss teamwork. Thus, what began as a lone journey has pleasantly led to the development of a small marketing agency. What a thrill!

So, this summer, I cheekily took off to have fun and make the most of being self-employed! However, money does not grow on trees (yeah, dad, I'm quoting you yet again). I've finally created a couple of pages for my website (https://tillymarketingservices.com/). It's still in the works (as I have client work that takes precedence over my own), a common saying in the self-employed area! But, with website templates and AI, I've launched a website in three days! ...and realised how much I can strategically waffle! Good morning weekend! I am absolutely thrilled with how things have gone so far in my first week as a freelance marketer.

The endorphin rush and sense of achievement I've received from achieving even small tasks has been incredible.

In just one week, Tilly Marketing Services LTD accomplished all of its objectives.
1. Create a company logo for the business - (will probably tweak slightly.. want a more gymnast type figure)
2. Register Tilly Marketing Services LTD with companies house (without the use of an accountant because saving all pennies is important). My incredible happiness at 2 a.m. when I received my Certificate of Incorporation...sorry for anyone that I pinged at 2am to tell them!
3. Register domain - done
4. Set up Quickbooks account - This was a little more complicated, but I paced myself. In a week, three estimates and two invoices were sent out! An early client was so appreciative that they paid me in full right away. He responded to my email informing him that I had not yet completed the assignment with "That's fine. We just wanted to show food faith. Appreciate that was just an estimate. It's like a deposit."... I felt a surge of energy from this, and it warmed my heart immensely.
5. Directly generating leads for me, by leveraging my existing network and professional connections.. I was able to set up some meetings and secure some business as a result - The delight, words can't explain!
6. Set up Microsoft 365 & Norton - (It's funny, I've always used work computers and I had never done this in 20 years!) - IT job well done, if I do say so myself.
7. Research several potential moneymaking opportunities and make a list! There's a lot to do, so stay tuned!
8. In my new position, I found that billing by the hour and the day was the most time-consuming and confusing aspect. A new learning experience for me...

I loved getting up every morning this week as it brought a new challenge and renewed enthusiam! It's easier to strike a healthy work-life balance when you can choose when you put in your hours. Thank you to everyone who has asked for a quotation or offered words of encouragement and wisdom, it's has been much appreciated.

My website is currently under construction. Right now, I'm prioritising work for my clients. I promise I'll keep you posted!
