•Mastering new skills•
Being a digital marketer can often mean learning new skills. My degree is in writing, words are my thing. But social media management and content creation seemed to come hand in hand with my writing work. So I found myself having to learn new skills like photography, creating imagery, graphic design. Something I didn’t envisage but something I love!

•Supporting Small Business•

I’ve been trying to find ways to support other small businesses like mine. From the purchases I make, to the information I share. Over on my blog - I’ve extended an offer to feature local businesses who have a national offering. Not something everyone can do obviously, but what can we all do to support small and local businesses?
✅ share, like and comment on social media
✅ sign up to newsletters
✅ recommend to your friends and family
✅ leave positive reviews on google, Facebook, trust pilot etc.
✅ make purchases where possible.

And why the selfie you may ask? Well, I’ve made a commitment to support small business, and that includes my fashion purchases. I’m weating earrings and top.

Great advice from but this will only work if you’ve got great SEO, clear descriptions and you’re keeping your website and socials up-to-date. The fab has some top tips on her account and I’ll be popping some up as we negotiate these uncertain times. For local business now is the key time to ensure your online presence is in tip-top condition.

This weekend I spoke at on the Your Body, Your Rules panel with my hat on. The day itself was in-part funded by the crowdfunder, the very same initiative I’m on to raise money for The79 - so I can help other women take ownership of their lives and find different ways to work. It’s amazing what you can achieve with the help of others. Especially when women support women. We’re a powerful bunch!! 💪💪💪

Hello and welcome!

The 79 Digital is my new baby. It is an extension of my freelance work. It will run as a digital agency alongside a community project. I want to help women, who like me, struggle to work in conventional workplaces.

By running free workshops and mentoring programmes, I aim to help women set up their own businesses. And as part of that, I've been accepted onto the Natwest 'Back Her Business' Crowdfunder!

I would really appreciate any support big or small, share, pledge, spread the word!

To use my experience and expertise to empower women to start their own businesses through workshops and work placements.
