You've worked on the messaging.

The strategy.

The identity.

You've made the plans, written the lists and promised yourself that THIS time, you're going to do things differently.

But have you accounted for one rather important thing?

Your actual capacity.

Not capability. Capacity.

Because just because you're capable of doing something doesn't mean you have the time, energy or resources to do it all right now.

Especially when you're building your plans around someone else's timeline, letting the SHOULDS run the show and using half your capacity carrying s**t that isn't even yours to carry.

Saying yes when you mean no.

Solving problems nobody asked you to solve.

Making everyone else's priorities your responsibility.

And then wondering why you've got nothing left for the thing YOU actually want.

Keep the dream. Reclaim the capacity. Shrink the next step.

That's exactly why I've opened up Aligned Action Calls.

One hour. You and me.

We'll get the plans and lists out of your head, question what actually needs doing, look at where your capacity is going and identify the actions that genuinely move you towards what you want.

Not another strategy that requires an extra 20 hours in your week.

Not another enormous list of things you SHOULD be doing.

And definitely not another exercise in proving how much you can fu***ng carry.

Just a clear, realistic next step that fits your life and capacity right now.

No more busy work. Just aligned action.

Aligned Action Call | 60 minutes | £99

September has a particular way of turning everything you want into a list of things you're already behind on.

Post more. Sell more. Sort the offer. Start the thing. Finish the thing. Get consistent. Have a plan.

And somewhere underneath all those shoulds is the thing you actually wanted in the first place.

I'm not going to tell you to make the dream smaller.

I want you to stop demanding that the version of you with today's time, energy, responsibilities and capacity takes a step designed for a woman with twice as much of all of it.

Want the thing. Keep the dream.

Then let's work out what moving towards it actually looks like from where you are today.

I've opened up a small number of **Aligned Action Calls**.

One hour, 1:1 with me, to cut through the noise, separate what you actually want from everything you think you should be doing, and leave with a clear next step that fits your real life.

Not a new 90-day plan.

Not another enormous list.

Just what do I want, and what can I do next?

DM me ACTION and I'll send you the payment and booking links.

You spent years craving more space.

Less running around. Less being everything to everyone. Five bloody minutes to think about yourself, then life changes.

The kids need you differently. Maybe your career no longer means what it once did. The version of success you worked so hard to create doesn't feel quite as successful anymore.

You finally have some space & you have absolutely no idea what you want to do with it.

The Mirror Session 🪞

A one-off session for women in their pivot season who aren't looking to blow their lives up or become someone new.

You want to reconnect with the woman underneath all the roles, responsibilities and years of being needed.

We'll look at what you actually want now, bring the dreams you've quietly shelved back into the room, and turn “maybe one day” into small, realistic steps that fit the life you actually have.

You don't even need to know what the dream is yet.

Maybe this hour is simply where you give yourself permission to start dreaming again.

No five-year plan. No homework mountain. No reinventing yourself by Tuesday.

Just an hour to hear yourself properly again and decide what comes next.

I'm Sarah, a Reconnection & Identity Coach for women in their pivot season who've created success, but are realising their definition of success has changed.

If you're reading this thinking “Yep, that's me” DM me MIRROR and I'll send you everything you need to book.

You keep telling yourself you need to get your s**t together.

But have you stopped to ask whether you actually give a s**t about the thing you're trying to get your s**t together for?

We’re very quick to diagnose ourselves with a motivation problem.

I need to be more consistent.
I need to get organised.
I need to stop procrastinating.
I used to just get s**t done.

A client came to me saying exactly that.

So I asked her:

Do you still want what doing all of this was supposed to give you?

And that changed the conversation.

She hadn't lost her ambition or suddenly become incapable of following through.

What she wanted had changed.

But her expectations of herself hadn't changed with it.

She was still trying to force herself to want what an earlier version of her wanted, then making herself the problem when she couldn't.

Sometimes you still want the thing and you're avoiding the work.

But sometimes you're trying to discipline yourself into caring about something you simply don't give a f**k about anymore.

You're allowed to change your mind.

You're allowed to want something different.

So before you ask how to get your motivation back, ask:

Do I actually want it back?

You built the life. Now, what do you want from it?

You'd feel awful repeatedly letting someone you love down.

Yet somehow, most of us learn that it's acceptable when the person we're disappointing is ourselves.

It makes sense.

We're taught to keep our word.
To be considerate.
To think about other people.
To help.
To compromise.
To not let people down.

All really good qualities.

But somewhere along the way, we can forget that we're supposed to be included in that consideration too.

So our plans become the easiest to change.

Our time becomes the easiest to give away.

The things we want become the easiest to postpone & because nobody gets angry with us for doing it, it can feel like there isn't really a cost.

Until one day you realise you've become incredibly good at showing up for your life...

without always showing up for yourself in it.

This isn't about never changing your plans or putting somebody else first.

Of course you will.

It's about noticing when you're always the easiest person to disappoint.

And maybe starting to treat what you want with some of the same care you've spent years giving everyone else.

You were always part of the plan too.

Self first, not last.

Is it just me, or did September forget to bring its usual RIGHT, LET’S GET OUR S**T TOGETHER energy this year?

I’ve been talking to friends in business, mum friends and the women I work with, and I’m hearing versions of the same thing.

The energy is low. Everything feels a bit performative.

I feel it too.

But I’m not putting everything on hold until some magical burst of motivation arrives.

The things that matter to me are still moving.

I’m working. Creating. Having conversations. Opening doors.

I’m just being much more intentional about what gets the capacity I actually have.

Less noise.

A walk that’s allowed to just be a walk.

An embarrassingly sensible bedtime! (Think treating yourself like an over tired toddler, and thank me later!)

More time with people I don’t have to perform around.

And small actions that keep the things I care about moving forward.

Because acknowledging that I have less capacity right now doesn’t mean I need to want less.

I can respect how I feel today without letting it decide where I’m going.

The destination hasn’t changed.

The size of today’s step has.

Keep the dream. Shrink the next step.

What if you actually had something left?

Not another hour to be productive.

Not enough energy to finally sort that cupboard, answer those messages or get ahead for tomorrow.

Something left for you.

Enough energy to wonder what you fancy doing tonight.

To go for a walk because it's beautiful outside, not because you've got steps to hit.

To meet someone for a drink on a Tuesday without calculating how knackered you'll be tomorrow.

To read six chapters of something ridiculous.

To have s*x without it feeling like another thing somebody wants from you.

To start something you're curious about with absolutely no intention of turning it into a side hustle.

To sit in the garden doing f**k all without mentally scrolling through the list of things you could be doing instead.

To say yes to something spontaneous because your entire week isn't already operating at maximum capacity.

To have conversations that aren't about logistics.

To make plans you're actually excited about.

To have wants that aren't immediately followed by *but what about...?*

To have energy that doesn't already belong to somebody or something else.

Because I don't want you to get better at coping with your life.

I don't want you to become more efficient at squeezing yourself into whatever space is left.

And I definitely don't want Self First to become another fu***ng thing you're supposed to be good at.

I want you to have enough of yourself left to actually experience the life you've worked so hard to build.

Not just recover enough to do it all again tomorrow.

That's what putting yourself first is for.

You can understand exactly where a belief came from.

You can journal about it.
Talk about it.
Name it.
Challenge it.
Write a better one in your notes app.

BUT still behave in a way that reinforces the original one every fu***ng day.

Because eventually, the rewrite has to leave your head.

If you believe you come last, putting yourself first creates different evidence.

If you believe you can't trust yourself, keeping one tiny promise creates different evidence.

If you believe saying no makes you selfish, saying no and discovering the world continues to turn creates different evidence.

You don't need one enormous, life-changing act.

You need enough small contradictory ones that the old script stops being the only story with receipts.

That's the work we do inside The Rewrite.

We identify what's actually running underneath the way you're living, then start creating something different in real life.

Not just something nicer to believe.

DM me REWRITE if you want to talk about working together.

Sometimes the circumstances are real.

The limitation is real.

The frustration is real.

But that doesn't mean every story you build around it is true.

This week's episode of Self First with Sarah is about the gap between what you know you're capable of and what you actually have capacity for right now.
