I spent a lovely morning ‘In the Room’. It’s a fresh new take on ‘networking’ organised by Hannah and Jess and Erin . The ladies nailed it!

I was wearing both hats as a service provider and brand owner and took so much away from the panel discussion with , and .

A gorgeous breakfast, great company, candid conversation and a gorgeous bouquet of flowers to take home, I’m already looking forward to the next one!

Make sure you’re following to snap up your ticket to the next event.

Tomorrow is a big day for my friends Neil and as they officially open the doors of in Warrenpoint.

I’ve seen first-hand the passion, vision and hard work that has gone into bringing this incredible space to life and I know it’s going to be a huge success!

OCCO is much more than a coffee shop. It’s a significant investment in the town, its people and its future.

Set in what must be one of the most stunning seafront locations in Northern Ireland, OCCO combines exceptional coffee, breathtaking views and a genuine commitment to the local community.

Wishing Neil, Gareth and the team the very best as they begin this exciting new chapter. I have no doubt OCCO will become a destination loved by locals and visitors alike.

Good luck for opening day tomorrow! ☕️✨

I started this morning finally listening to ’s new podcast, In Good Company.

I’ve known Cathy for years. Our paths first crossed when she was Marketing Manager for the Irish Linen Guild and I was working for in ACA. To this day, I’ve never forgotten how kind Cathy was to me.

Our paths have crossed many times since, both professionally and personally, and she has always been one of my biggest supporters and a great friend. Despite working in the same competitive industry, there has never been an air of competition. In fact, she’s always been there with words of encouragement and advice. She was made to be a podcast host.

And what a guest to kick off the series , I could listen to this pair all day.

I first met Linda very shortly after I launched FBC. I tortured for the introduction! Over the years, I’ve watched Linda’s business explode, driven by her sheer hard work, but also because of the genuine person she is.

It was Linda who first planted the seed of launching a product in my head years ago. When I said to her that I wouldn’t have a clue what I could do, Linda simply replied, “You’ll just know.”

And years later, she was absolutely right.

Listening to these powerhouses today was such a reminder that the best people in business are the ones who genuinely champion others along the way. We’re lucky is lucky to have women like Cathy and Linda leading the conversation. Make sure this podcast is on your list.

Yesterday I passed my final exam to become a certified Level 3 Mat Pilates Instructor.

The last six months have been challenging, but hugely enjoyable.

It’s been an intensive learning experience. Alongside the in-person Pilates practical training - which included the original repertoire, modifications, teaching techniques and programming - there has also been a huge amount of theory and assessments.

I’ve delved into a range of topics including the history of Pilates, the fundamentals and principles, and an Applied Anatomy and Physiology exam (which felt like a degree in itself!).

And whilst I may not have thought it when I was in the thick of it, it has been one of the best experiences of my life. Learning so much more about something that I am so passionate about, that has made such a big difference to my life over the last 10 years, has been amazing. And doing it while wearing the grip socks that I created for Pilates was a surreal full-circle moment.

I couldn’t have done it without my incredible tutor Caroline of Platinum Training Institute based at . Caroline is worth her weight in gold and learning from someone who has almost 20 years of Pilates teaching experience has certainly put us in good stead as instructors.

I’ve been so lucky to have had an amazing set of fellow students and I’m excited to follow their journeys.

So take this as your sign, on International Women’s Day, to push yourself out of your comfort zone, set your sights on that goal you’ve been thinking about - and go for it.

Eight years ago today, I took a leap of faith.

My daughter was one-and-a-half and I needed back surgery - but it was a two-year waiting list. Despite this, I made the decision to launch Fiona Brown Communications and handed in my notice… to receive the call for surgery days later.

Having back surgery just 13 days before starting a business wasn’t ideal timing, but navigating challenges from day one has strengthened my resilience as a founder.

Fast forward eight years and I’m so proud of the PR business I’ve built and the incredible clients I’ve had the privilege of working with.

2025 also marked another milestone: launching my second business, VOCÊ. Built from passion, and something that’s carried me through years of chronic pain, it has been a dream to see it come to life.

I love the work that I do and feel so lucky that I’ve been able to create something from my love of PR and now, Pilates.

But most of all, I’m proud to show my daughter Elle, who turns 10 in March, that as women, we can create our own opportunities, shape our futures and pursue our dreams, even when the road isn’t easy… herniated discs and all!

I’m grateful for the journey so far and excited for what’s still ahead.

2025 - what a night!

A massive well done to all the winners and finalists at last night’s Northern Ireland Social Media Awards which recognised excellence across more than 30 categories, highlighting the strength, innovation and authenticity that define Northern Ireland’s vibrant digital landscape.

I was delighted to present with the award for Best Social Media Team, In-house. The official destination marketing organisation for Belfast city picked up four awards in total!

A massive well done to Niamh Taylor - I don’t know how she does it, but every year she manages to make it even bigger and better than ever before. The amount of hard work and commitment she puts into the awards every single year is admirable - she’s incredible!

Roll on 2026!
