Feeling so grateful to still be enjoying these beautiful summer days 🌸

Today we went back to a garden we used to visit every week before the children started school, and it was just as beautiful as I remembered - full of inspiration and absolutely bursting with colour.

I soaked up every bit of it. The kids loved it, and I loved watching them love it.

One thing I’m especially proud of, although it wasn’t something I consciously set out to do, is how active and screen-free these six weeks have been for them. The equivalent of a whole term of school they’ve been outdoors and I feel like they’ve grown so much.

I’ve watched them change in these six weeks in ways that are hard to put into words. Maybe it’s simply having more time together. More freedom. More little adventures. More of those ordinary days that somehow become the ones you remember.

Having them with me like this has been really, really special 🧡🫶🏽

After some lovely downtime with my family, it’s so nice to open the shop back up, dust off the virtual cobwebs and get ready for the return to routine 🧡

I’ll also be adding some new bits and pieces once I’m properly back on real-world time, so keep your eyes peeled!

It’s a rainy day with thunderstorms today so I was happy to finally have a go at doodling for week 239 of ROOMPORTRAITCLUB with this dreamy room of sunshine from Sophie Igras Décoratrice Le Voyage Intérieur via COLLAGERIE

I can get really critical and almost get paralysis by analysis when I draw so I set myself the challenge of having just 15 minutes. I wanted to be more free with my pen and paints so having the short time limit gave me the permission to not overthink things. Loved doing this! 💛

“Mummy!! Talia is going!” the kids panic half an hour before their holiday friend departs. The kids made a gorgeous French friend, and in our many conversations, she told us about her love for Paddington bear so it had to be a farewell from the bear himself ✍🏽🐻 After a right kerfuffle of me spilling paint and water everywhere (in true Paddington style), I managed to catch their friend before she left. Hoping the kids have a new penpal maintenant!📝💌❤️

I love it when I find a new little joint that gets me excited! .bistrot tucked away in pretty Saint Gilles was a fab little find. Mon amie et moi decided to try their Greek night and what an event it was. We were invited to sit at the pass where we got to enjoy all the action in the kitchen as the chef whipped up beautifully fresh Greek dishes. We loved the bustle of diners enjoying their mezzes with friends. My particular faves were the saganaki and tarama - c’était magnifique! Trés bon food, super company and a beautiful evening…I’ll be back for sure! Mille mercis .bistrot 🧡

Harri came to me some years ago with a vision for her baking business and I was so proud to design her lovely logo. From there, she became a true baking goddess, sending heavenly brownies and bakes all across Sussex. 🤎

And now… that vision has wheels!

I’m so excited for Harri and absolutely love seeing her beautiful new trailer come to life. What a gorgeous job on the livery by Millbrook Design & Print - it looks incredible!
