An absolutely delicious slice of Middle England joy on Friday.

A huge thank you to for inviting me to join the wonderful people on The Bureau table at the 2026 Cricket Festival as The Hampshire Hogs took on The Lashings.

What a fantastic day. Cricket on the village green, sunshine, a Pimms in hand, great conversations and money being raised for the brilliant charity.

It was also a pleasure to meet some fascinating people along the way. Networking doesn’t always happen in meeting rooms or behind screens. Sometimes it’s simply about sharing stories, making connections and enjoying good company in a beautiful setting.

Thank you again Simon for the invitation. It was great to spend the day with you. Lovely to meet Ed Ferris and Carl McCulloch and of course the wonderful Nikki Foster and Nick Riley. So good to see you all.

I hope everyone enjoyed the sunshine as much as I did.

This morning I had the pleasure of spending time with Wi******er’s creative community at the monthly Tea & Toast, hosted by Jan and Simon from

I absolutely love this event. Every time I attend, I meet interesting people, have great conversations and always leave feeling inspired.

This month we gathered at on Southgate Street. Despite Wi******er traffic and the classic British weather, it was another brilliant morning. Bar Lento has a beautiful courtyard and although the sunshine didn’t make an appearance today, it was still the perfect setting. Great coffee, lovely staff and a welcoming atmosphere.

I always try to capture the events I attend because so much time and effort goes into organising them. Also it’s also a great way to support the hospitality venues that host us and help others discover places they may never have visited before.

A little hidden gem in the heart of Wi******er.

WATERCRESS
FESTIVAL
Experiential Event Support
for Hattingley Valley Wines

First visit to the Alresford Watercress Festival today and what a brilliant atmosphere.

Spent the day on the Hattingley Valley stall with and the team, serving customers, chatting all things English sparkling wine and soaking up the energy of the event.

Experiential events are completely my bag. I love everything from the setup and presentation through to seeing how people interact with brands in real life. There’s always so much to learn from being customer facing and understanding what makes people stop, engage and buy.

Also lovely catching up with friends, clients and familiar faces throughout the day including , Country Estates, , Heroes, , and of course my favourite, .

Love the community spirit at events like this and seeing so many brilliant independent businesses thriving.

ANNOYING AF
WHEN THIS
HAPPENS…

To my fellow designers…

A LOGO IS NOT A BRAND…DO NOT STOP THERE!

One of the biggest mistakes businesses make is investing in a professionally designed logo… then immediately sending it to a printer or signage company to create the rest of their graphics as cheaply and quickly as possible.

Your logo is only one piece of the puzzle.

A brand is how everything works together:

Typography
Colours
Layout
Photography style
Spacing
Tone of voice
Packaging
Social graphics
Printed materials
Signage
Presentation decks
Website visuals
Event styling

When different people create assets without a clear brand system, things quickly become inconsistent. Your business starts to look disconnected, unprofessional and confusing to customers, even if the logo itself is great.

The designer who created your logo understands the thinking behind it. They should also help build the visual styling and rules around the brand so every touchpoint feels aligned and intentional.

That doesn’t mean you need a designer creating every single social post forever.

A much smarter and more cost effective approach is to ask your designer to create branded Canva templates or editable asset systems for you. That way you can confidently create day to day content yourself while still staying on brand.

It also frees your designer up to focus on bigger creative work that actually grows the brand:

Campaign concepts
Packaging ideas
Event visuals
Customer experience
Sales materials
New launches
Brand evolution

➡️ Good branding creates recognition.

➡️ Consistent branding creates trust.

➡️ Trust is what drives growth.

Today I spent the morning at celebrating International Women’s Day at the annual event hosted by the .

I went along with my partners in crime, and , and it was such a great reminder of how powerful it is when women come together to support, celebrate and lift each other up.

There is something really special about being in a room full of inspiring women, sharing stories, experiences and encouragement. Moments like this matter.

Thank you to the New Forest Partnership for bringing everyone together again this year.

Happy International Women’s Day to all the incredible women out there.

HAMPSHIRE FARE
MEMBERS NETWORK

Last week, members gathered at Boathouse Swanwick for their monthly networking event. I have a soft spot for this venue, especially since I created the branding for it, it’s always wonderful to see it come to life.

The sun even made an appearance, perfect for alfresco dining and drinks at sunset. 🌅

I love these monthly Hampshire Fare meetups, a brilliant community full of energy and positivity. Huge thanks to and Natalie for all the hard work to put these regular events on, and to Kris Anderson and from Ideal Collection for sharing a few words about this stunning venue and producing the most delicious canapés!

When brilliant local businesses come together, magic happens.

I’ve been working with the team at , supporting with design and social media as the brand grows. Our latest product shoot was a true celebration of local collaboration.

Captured beautifully by , the crab cakes looked incredible and were perfectly paired with a glass of to complete the moment.

Creative direction, food, photography and fizz, all from within our Hampshire network. This is what supporting local really looks like.

THE HUUDDLE

Some people just know how to bring the right people together. is one of them.

Last night at The Huuddle at New Place Hotel was such a lovely evening. A stunning venue, a relaxed atmosphere, welcome drinks on arrival and the most delicious canapés from a Hampshire Fare member. Quality through and through.

What I loved most was how thoughtfully curated the room felt. Every introduction had intention. Sara has a real talent for knowing who needs to meet and why, and she makes those connections happen effortlessly.

I have also attended The Huuddle Table events and found them to be an open, supportive and genuinely helpful community. I have met some brilliant people and even gained a new client through the network.

If you are looking for meaningful connections in a well considered space, I would highly recommend The Huuddle.

Great to see you all

💜❤️✨ New Brand Launch ✨❤️💜
Meet ANother, an IT company based in Alton, Hampshire.

They came to us with an off-the-shelf logo and a desire to evolve. Once they found their feet, they knew it was time for a brand that felt more them.

I kept their original colour palette but simplified the typography and reworked their icon, creating something that’s clean, versatile, and strong enough to stand alone.

Because branding is never just about the logo…

I created a full visual identity with radiant backgrounds, bold lozenge shapes, and confident lines. These elements will flow across print, digital, web and socials, building a cohesive, memorable brand.

So grateful to work with a client who gave us full creative freedom 🙌
