So the time has come to let everyone know what we have recently told our customers and others directly affected.

As I write this it feels bittersweet, as sixteen years ago I launched Roundabout Hinckley and then eleven years ago launched Roundabout the Villages. Happy Eleventh Birthday Villages. I am so proud they became trusted local magazines😀

I can honestly say that I have loved every minute of the last sixteen years. I have really enjoyed everything involved in producing both Roundabout magazines and it was great to have Nick join me when we launched Roundabout the Villages.

Over these years we have championed many local businesses and helped promote many local charity events. I have also met so many wonderful people through both working on the magazines and at various business networking groups. I love that so many of these have now become good friends😀

I have always loved seeing every new issue of the magazines in print. I have had so much support from so many for which I am really grateful. Until you run your own business nothing prepares you for the highs and a few lows, the nervous times and the excitement. And icing on the cake I even won the Leicester Mercury Women in Business award in 2018 and LoveBiz Networker of the Year last year😀

However, the time has come to step down and retire. I am delighted to advise that we have now handed over our precious and much loved magazines to a lovely lady, Sarah, and her team and I am confident they will look after all our customers and deliverers and have the same values and integrity that we pride ourselves on😀

Advertising in Roundabout Hinckley will remain really good value with excellent, flexible packages available. Rather than just being a directory of businesses, the magazines will continue to offer exclusivity to all our advertisers meaning they have no competitors in the magazine.

It is even more important than ever to help and support our local businesses. Do please “Keep it Local” and support your local businesses as if we don’t, they may disappear.

Thank you to all for your support over the years, whether as a business trusting us with your advertising with us, delivering for us or encouraging support, we have really appreciated it. Thank you to our brilliant delivery team and to our fantastic designer Mat, who has been an absolute pleasure to work with.

It has been an absolute pleasure and honour producing both our Roundabout magazines and I will certainly miss the work involved however we are looking forward to a slower pace of life. As the saying goes: “Everything has a beginning and an end”😀

Please support Sarah and I will be cheering her on and I wish her all the luck and look forward to reading the magazines for many years to come.

It has been a blast 😀
