I've been a little quiet on here lately...

It's really important to take time for yourself, to reflect and refine your business. I've been figuring out what is right for me going forward and looking at what I really enjoy and you know something, it's being a generalist. I like it 💖

My company may be The Little Social Company but i'm going back to my roots and focusing on providing great value marketing support to founders and small businesses. Of course this will include social media as one of the channels and is a huge part of everyones marketing these days but the landscape has changed so much over the last 7 years and my strength is seeing how all these pieces of the jigsaw fit together. That and a sprinkling of creativity ✨

Another day, another strategically placed plant 🪴
This time I’m doing some filming for an awesome business where we talk all things social media.

It really did highlight what parts of my job that I like…

💖creating templates and content on Canva
💖helping to transfer your brand from paper to socials
💖helping people showcase who they are and what they do
💖empowering others to upskill on socials so they can grow their business
💖deep diving into user personas!

I do need a big coffee now though but would love to know your fav part of socials!

One of the things that really bugs me as a consultant is the lack of IT support available to you!

I’ve been wanting to streamline my systems for a while and with me decluttering socials for founders I thought I’d reach out to another awesome female founder, Susan Barrett to help me do the same with my IT 📧

So this week, we started off our week with a lovely call and now I feel super organised! Thank you Susan 😊

We’re celebrating what makes us unique in The Laird household today by supporting . I couldnt get a picture of my daughter heading to school in her odd socks but I think you’ll agree that Basil is rocking the Christmas socks 🌲

We talk a lot about being yourself on social media but remember people by people, so don’t be afraid of sharing a little bit of yourself on here 🙂

⭐It's finally ready, my shiny new brand and website with lots of new services!⭐

I've been working on this for a while now, moving away from the day to day social media management was a hard decision but I really feel like all those hours of working so closely with clients has helped me to develop services that are what founders and small business owners need right now.

If you know any founders that would like a chat over a coffee or a zoom, I'd love to speak to them. I love collaborating, so if i'm not what they are looking for, I bet I can recommend someone who can help.

It was exactly 10 years ago that I decided to make a professional right-hand turn, stop being an engineer and help parents restore the sleep of their children. 🌙

From July 2011, it took me another 6 months to really come to terms with the idea that I would dismiss numerous engineering diplomas, years of technical experience, a secure predictable job and a decent salary, to follow a deep-rooted intuition. I knew I had what it takes to transform people into better versions of themselves, transfer their lives and restore their sanity in the process, but little did I know I would never truly stop being an engineer. Troubleshooting, knowledge transfer and support are still very much the core of my work.
