RentSay is a place where UK renting community can leave their honest feedback and comments about a place you lived in and find out the same about the property you are considering moving into. The key issue is that any rental agency or landlord stands by their interests and would apply all marketing skills to get you into their property by sharing only good aspects of a property, whereas RentSay wi
ll tell you the other side, if there is one. We are looking to create not just a website to leave reviews, but build a community around it, hence we enabled an interaction option for users where they are able to comment on reviews and contact other users if in need of more specific information. As a result of natural growth of this project, more and more properties will be added to the database allowing people to find most of the properties they are considering renting. Eventually, it will start reaching landlords who would be forced to improve quality of their accommodation due to the transparency of the system provided through RentSay. As it stands, around 5.4 million household are rented as opposed to owning one outright. In fact, according to PwC report, this trend is to persist over time, reaching 7.2 million by 2025, which accounts to 25% of all households. This is the case due to several factors including such measures as inflation, price-to-earnings ratio and average first-time buyer deposit.
