Last week I attended the very first Small Biz Summer Mixer hosted by .events. It was in a great venue in Brentwood, and it was packed with small business owners who are all in the same boat -wanting to get out and socialise!

I met lots of new people and saw many, many familiar faces too, in some cases meeting people for the first time who I'd only connected with online.

The net event is going to be HUGE and will be at the end of November.

Last weekend, we decided to escape the heatwave and headed to the Kent coast to celebrate Martin's birthday.

It was the perfect excuse to kick back and relax and we returned feeling well rested. As well as lots of time sitting in the sunshine, we couldn't resist walking some of the England Coastal Path and took in Broadstairs and Whitstable.

There was the small matter of a football match too.... And after that result being in our favour, all we can do tonight is watch and hope. Good luck England! ⚽🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Great Dunmow is a historic market town and civil parish in the Uttlesford district of Essex, England. Originally the site of a Roman settlement on Stane Street, the town thrived during the Middle Ages.

Great Dunmow has a lovely mix of shops and cafes and has a High Street made up of only independent shops.

The town museum, the Maltings Museum, is on Mill Lane and covers local history. Great Dunmow is also the home of Talliston House & Gardens, an ex-council house transformed into 'Britain's most extraordinary home. The house and gardens have been open to the public since 2015 and include 13 fantasy locations, each set in a different time and place.
