There's something special about gold foil.

It catches the light, adds texture and gives a printed piece a premium finish that simply can't be replicated on screen. For projects like the Agricultural Engineers Association Annual Review, the gold foil blocking helps create an immediate sense of quality and professionalism before you've even opened the cover.

However, a great print finish starts long before it reaches the press. Preparing artwork for foil blocking requires experience and attention to detail, ensuring the foil sits perfectly, the artwork is technically correct and the final result is as intended.

It's a reminder that while many are using AI for design, the human touch is still essential. Careful artwork, technical knowledge and close collaboration with specialist printers are what turn a good design into an exceptional printed piece.

Another recent website project completed for QueenBee – a vibrant online platform designed to reflect the magazine’s inspiring, community-driven voice for women across Peterborough, Stamford and beyond.

From a fresh modern aesthetic to an intuitive user experience, we designed and developed a site that brings together lifestyle, wellness, beauty and community content in one engaging digital space.

The new platform also makes it easier for readers to explore articles, browse past issues and connect with the growing QueenBee community.

A website should evolve alongside the business it represents.

As Natex has continued to grow, it was time for their website to evolve too. We wanted to create something that better reflected their innovation, giving the site a more dynamic feel through engaging movement, vibrant colour, and a modern user experience.

We’re delighted to share another project from our AVIDD Design Donation initiative, supporting the incredible team at Rescue Malis at Meadow View/ Corner Meadow Animal Rehabilitation with a complete new brand identity.

CMAR provides rehabilitation and care for animals in need, and we wanted to create a visual identity that felt compassionate, energetic and memorable while remaining practical across digital, print and merchandise applications.

The project included:�• Logo design� • Brand identity development�• Colour palette and typography� • Merchandise mock-ups� • Social media and promotional branding concepts

It’s always rewarding to use design to support organisations making a genuine difference in their communities, and this was a project very close to our hearts.

We're always happy to help local organisations when they need support, especially when time is of the essence.

Recently, we were approached by Tolethorpe Stamford Shakespeare Company to help produce their 2026 theatre programme at short notice. Having worked on their DL brochure last year, we were familiar with their brand meaning we could jump straight on it, confident we could produce something they would be happy with. A pleasure to support the team and help bring their 2026 season to life.

Tolethorpe is a lovely outdoor theatre with beautiful grounds, so if you like theatre and a picnic, get yourselves down there this summer.

We’ve finally managed to make it down to Diesel Streets at Peterborough Museum & Art Gallery – and it was well worth the visit.

Diesel Streets: A Peterborough Wall Story by Nathan ‘Nyces’ Murdoch is a vibrant celebration of Peterborough’s street art culture and the artists who have helped shape it.

Having followed Nathan “Nyces” Murdoch - street artist work for many years, it was a pleasure to finally meet him through the Creative East programme in 2024. What he has achieved throughout his career is truly remarkable, and his passion for Peterborough is impossible not to admire.

Peterborough doesn’t always receive the recognition it deserves, but Nathan has consistently championed the city, its people, and its creative talent. This exhibition is a testament to that commitment, showcasing not only his own incredible work but also celebrating the wider street art scene that continues to transform our city.

If you haven’t visited yet, we’d highly recommend taking a look.

We were thrilled to take part in the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Destination Brand & Narrative Workshop yesterday at Huntingdon Town Hall. It was great to meet so many people who are passionate about the area and to help shape the future direction of the region.

Thank you to Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA) for hosting such a valuable event.

The geek, environmentalist and typography fan in us is loving this.

The team at NASA has created a fun tool that lets you spell out your name using satellite images of Earth. It’s called Landsat, and the images come from a vast archive that spans over 50 years of observations.

The Landsat program is a long-running series of Earth-observing satellites, jointly operated by NASA and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
