NEW BRAND LAUNCH ✨ | ON A MISSION COACHING

After transforming their own lives, Hailey and Simon are now on a mission to help others do the same. They’ve poured their energy, vision and determination into creating an online coaching brand that truly reflects their values- and I’m proud to have helped them to bring that to life!

This one’s close to home: like many new business owners, they’ve have faced building this project from scratch and it taking longer than they anticipated! Starting out on your own means you have to draw on so many aspects you may not be an expert in! But you have to make it happen! I spent a full 12 months of graft before I went full-time with Em Creative. But if you are passionate and be clear on your goals you will get there.

It’s always a privilege to be trusted with someone’s vision. Here’s to strong branding, bold moves, and exciting beginnings 👏

Promoting local businesses through creative design is my passion; I enjoy exploring innovative approaches across digital platforms, print media, and various promotional channels.

For those new to my page, here’s a little about me.

I’m the Em in Em Creative and I’ve been in the industry for 25 years ... gulp! Since I can remember I have loved design. It started with a school work placement at a design studio on Chester Business Park. After 2 weeks, I asked the boss... what do I need to do to become a designer; the answer was simple: study hard and make design part of my everyday.

6 years on - after completing GCSEs, college, and a 2:1 in Media+Design at Uni - I returned to that same office and told him I had done everything he said and could I have a job? He made me a Junior Designer on the spot! And so it began! After 3 years, I moved on to spend a lovely 16 years as Design Manager for Salons Direct on the Wirral with a fab team. But deep down I always wanted to go out on my own. I knew I could design with my eyes closed, I had the passion, but I also had the fear, and I didn’t know how to run a business so I put it off... for years!

With support from Business Wales, I built up my business over 12 months before leaving my role in Feb 2020. 3 weeks later - we went into lockdown - and I lost everything. Overnight! 😭
At the time I felt I had made the worst decision of my life but I wasn’t going to be beaten! Before Covid, I’d worked in the Business Wales Hub; so during lockdown in-between homeschooling two kids! - I kept focused and did everything all over again, but better.

4 years on… I’m working 10 times harder but learning every day! It’s not easy, it’s about riding the wave… But god I love it!

Lessons learned 👉🏻 if you love what you do you will know that giving up is not an option. Be proud every day of the smallest wins. Take the rough with the smooth-if anyone tells you it’s easy they aren’t doing it right. Not everyone is your friend, business can be brutal so put your big girl pants on and remember why you are doing this! Surround yourself with the people who want you to win. You will find them and when you do don’t let them go!

If you need an Em in your life, I am here. I love my job, I have been doing this a long time so have faith I know what I am doing. My prices reflect that. Know that you will get 110% of me and we will enjoy our journey together! Let’s talk!

The Wrexfactor event took place today at Wrexham AFC, hosted by the Wrexham City Board. This is their first ‘community ideas event’ bringing together people who live, work in and love Wrexham, and have come together today to share their insights and ideas about the future of our City.

It has been an inspirational day and exciting to hear people’s ideas for the future of Wrexham. These ideas will help shape the plans and guide the Board’s work in the months ahead.

I am super proud to have been commissioned by the chair of the Board, Rachel Clacher, CEO of Moneypenny, to work on the branding for the Board and also produce the graphics for the Wrexfactor event. Rachel is keen to have the board do something very positive in Wrexham and her enthusiasm has been very infectious today. It was so positive to see such a diverse group in the room.

This is the beginning of something very exciting and I’m proud to be on the journey! Watch this space Wrexham 👀
