Shortlisted for the ‘Tech for Good’ award the The Augmented Reality Careers Ambassadors project brings careers to life - helping young people explore real roles in construction - transforming career guidance into an engaging, memorable, and exciting experience.

A full circle moment 🥰

I’m really proud to be featured on the Hull College website sharing my journey.

It feels special to reflect on where it all began studying a graphic design apprenticeship at Hull College over 20 years ago to now having my own business HelloU Creative ✨

I am forever grateful to the tutors who supported me and to the friendships I made along the way.

A special thank you Jonathan Leafe for my first role at Strawberry and for supporting me with both my NVQ and HNC in Graphic Design at Hull College, giving me the foundations to grow 🙏

If there’s one thing my journey has taught me, it’s this:

Creativity is often underestimated.

It’s not just about art or making things look nice, it’s about problem-solving, confidence, connection, communication and driving innovation and being able to adapt.

I hope my story helps students realise that there isn’t just one route forward and that their creativity is powerful and has real value.

Thank you Hull College for featuring my story and sharing diverse career pathways and celebrating creative journeys.

Last weekend the team delivered the creative + tech superstars experience as part of the Mini Malarkey Festival at .libraries Hull Central Library! 📚🤖 ⭐️

We had lots of blended online and offline activities including the creation of AR dance floors, CD crafting, digital designer album covers with Canva, and stepped into a virtual reality Viking drumming experience 🥁 the music corner 🎸 🎶 and rockstar dress up and our newest addition to the team Ben-Ben the robot dog 🐕

A big shout out to the HEY! Volunteers who do such an amazing job helping these sessions 🙏and to Hull Culture and Leisure Ltd and Hull City Council for supporting such fantastic events.

HelloU Creative stand is all set and ready for Creative UK The Big Creative UK Investment Summit event today at Kings Place, London ✨

If you are heading to the event please do pop over and say hello 👋 you will find me at booth 52 on the 2nd Floor exhibition space (or floor -1 via the lift), just outside the gallery room 🖼️ 😀

On my stand you will be able to experience some of the projects at HelloU Creative including projects with partners such as Skills Bootcamps Hull and East Riding Sewell Group Hull City Council. Meet William Shakespeare 🪶discover Hull’s Lost Mermaid 🧜‍♀️ and learn more about the amazing work that we do at Reel Creative Charity to inspire the next generation of creatives 🤖

You will also get the opportunity to ‘prompt your own creativity’ and contribute to the ‘Art of Marketing Canvas’ joining over #100 other people/businesses who have contributed to the project so far from across the UK and be part of an exciting immersive exhibition 🎨🖌️ and also receive a AR creative

Fantastic to support Reel Creative delivering these creative + tech workshops at Highlands Primary School 🤖

Sadly today was our final REEL Creative session at Highlands Primary, at least for this year… but we ended on a high! 🎉

We were thrilled to hand over two brand-new VR headsets to the school so the young people can keep exploring, creating and building their confidence long after we’ve gone.

A huge thank-you to Cllr Garreth Byrne and Hull City Council for making all of this possible with his vision and support — and thank you to Helen Gill from HelloU Creative for being incredible throughout the project.

Highlands, you’ve been amazing. ❤️
