This post is slightly tongue-in-cheek, but it's very true... it happens every now and again with clients calling me in a panic, wondering what's happened with their job???.

Basically, if you don't actually sign off your proof, or don't tell me expressly that you want to go to print, then sorry, your print job has not been printed.

Until I receive explicit permission, I have to assume you're not yet ready to commit.

Cheers, Dave

Hello there folks! Just to let you know that I’m on a wee family holiday to London this week but fear not, I will be back on Friday and will deal with all your requests then.

Here’s today’s adventures… exploring the Natural History Museum with my daughter and fellow speccy weirdo - Katie :)

This morning, I was invited along to the reception for Sir Chris Hoy @ Glasgow the Caring City. Sir Chris was there to celebrate the charity being awarded National Lottery funding for their Move, Create, Connect project. The project is helping young people with additional support needs learn new skills, discover what they’re capable of and build their confidence in the process.

In addition to supplying new banners and roller banners, the charity asked me to design and produce a one-off award to present to Sir Chris, thanking him for inspiring the organisation and so many others in Scotland and further afield.

It made my day to see him receive the award; he's a pretty special guy!

Thanks to the guys at Glasgow the Caring City, and especially Ross Galbraith, for the privilege. Always a pleasure.

Feeling pretty chuffed with myself...Cheers :)

Another wee stroll through Paisley again today - I had to go to the Post Office in the High Street, so I had to destress somehow 🙂
Painful.

I've gone for a retro look with these images, throw the colours off a bit, add some grain, and we've stepped back in time 40 odd years! Enjoy.

Edit: I know this is a big ask but please have a wee think before posting negative comments on the photos. The aim of posting these images was literally to show Paisley in ‘a good light’.

I’m not blinkered, I’m totally aware Paisley Town Centre has its issues, I’m just trying to spread a wee bit of positivity and mebbe even a wee bit of pride in our town. Just for today, let’s focus on the good bits. :)

What a cracking day for a wee wander around Paisley Town Centre and Oakshaw with the camera. Everything was just glowing and rich in colour today. I just love Oakshaw. Out of all the places I've lived in Paisley, Oakshaw was my favourite.

The new museum and its surrounds are looking pretty damn good too. I'm excited for it to finally open later this year.

Following on from that last post - there is a fantastic big space available in the Sir James Clark building (at Morrisons). I’ve been in this particular unit and it feels really spacious, especially with the extra light coming in from above. Again, give me a message and I can put you on to the Manager.
Cheers, Dave

Hey folks! If anyone is looking for new premises, Level 5 in the Mile End Mill is currently being refurbished. They will be stunning and spacious and based in an amazing building full of history with a great community feel.
Give me a shout and I’ll make some introductions.
Cheers, Dave

Inspired by History... designed for today.
Something exciting is happening at Mile End Mill.

We're about to start transforming our 5th Floor Annex, breathing new life into one of Paisley's most iconic mill buildings while carefully preserving the character that makes it so special.

Every image you see here is a real photograph of the space and the refurbishment work will soon be underway. There are no AI-generated interiors or computer-created concepts—just genuine progress and a clear vision for what's to come.

We're creating bright, contemporary workspace that respects the building's industrial heritage while providing an inspiring environment for modern businesses.

This is just the beginning, and we can't wait to share more as the transformation continues.

Here are some fun facts about Mile End Mill:

Built between 1899 and 1900, during the height of Paisley's world-renowned thread industry.

Category A Listed, recognising it as a building of national architectural and historic importance.

Designed by William James Morley, one of the leading industrial architects of the period.

Originally built for J. & P. Coats, following the merger of the famous Coats, Clark and Jonas Brook thread businesses, creating one of the world's largest thread manufacturers.

Paisley became known as the Thread Capital of the World, with its Mills exporting thread across the globe.

The mill specialised in the thread twisting process, where multiple yarns were combined to create strong sewing thread.

The famous "Invisible Thread" was developed at Mile End Mill under great secrecy.

Please phone 0141 889 8000 if you would like to have a conversation about securing one of the studios.
