The end of Q1 is suddenly in sight… and I’m not quite sure how that happened.
Running a business, supporting clients, raising a family, navigating school runs, hobbies, and all the little things that make up family life – it’s a lot to hold at once. Like many people, I’m constantly trying to work out how to give the best to all of those areas.
I realised this week that I hadn’t posted on my business pages for a while.
But one day I never miss is International Women’s Day.
I love seeing the inspirational stories shared across the platform and I always like to take a moment to add something reflective and supportive of that important day.
But it also got me thinking.
Is it healthy to feel like we *have* to share?
Have we quietly created another expectation for ourselves - to always be visible?
Social media can be an incredible place for connection and creativity. But creativity doesn’t always show up on a schedule, and sometimes the most meaningful work is happening quietly in the background.
For me, it can be difficult to add outward posting into my flow when certain chapters are busy building behind the scenes.
So if someone isn’t posting, it doesn’t mean they’ve stopped creating.
It doesn’t mean their business isn’t thriving.
In many cases, it can mean the opposite.
Sometimes the best work is happening off-camera.
Anyway… I did post yesterday, so I’m calling today “consistent enough” while continuing to quietly build something exciting in the background and support my brilliant clients with their marketing projects.
And here’s a shameless photo of something else that has been keeping us busy in the first quarter of 2026…
