After 16 years of trading from our Uxbridge shop, and over 20 years of trading on our website balconyshirts.co.uk, we decided to go mental and actually put our website address on the front of our shop today. This totally wasn’t an oversight on our part and was actually a very clever and strategic marketing plan to make our shop seem more exclusive.

Next week our shop in Uxbridge is 16 years old. Incredible we’ve lasted that long and we are very grateful to all our customers over those years. We’ve actually been going for over 22 years now. That’s just ridiculous. This is me and Chris when we were children.

Before the former Mayor of Hillingdon generously donated two Hornby model trains to the window display, I had fashioned this; the “Uxbridge Rail Replacement Bus Stop” sign, which sits next to another broken train. We use this when we’re waiting for a new one to arrive from the engine shed (eBay). This is my get-out-of-jail-free card. Kids cry when they see it but that’s fine, it’s character building.
