Client: KJ Drains & Mains 💧

This project started with a pretty open brief, the client wasn’t too sure what direction they wanted to go in, just that it needed to look professional, clean, and instantly recognisable.

After a few drafts and back-and-forths, the vision started to click. From there, we refined the concept into something simple, modern, and bold, a logo that feels trustworthy and reflects the flow and reliability of their work.

Sometimes, the best results come from building that vision together. 👊

From the first sketch to the final polish — this one was a journey.

The ONEK logo went through trial, error, and a load of rough drafts that didn’t quite hit.
But that’s the beauty of design: it evolves. Every failed concept got me one step closer to something that felt right.

From chaos to clarity — this is a process.

After the Vixens project was complete and signed off, I didn’t have long to rest. The next call came in—another youth football team, this time the boys: the V-Dawgs. It was a chance to keep that momentum going and refine my style. Clean, bold, and full of character—just like the team. Another logo locked in, another chapter added.

After designing the Volts badge, the girls team — The Vixens — asked if I could help create something for them too.

This was the first time I’d be working closely with a creative client who had loads of input and ideas.
We went back and forth, tweaking and refining until we landed on something that just clicked.

The result? A bold, fierce identity that the whole team would be proud to wear.
Collaboration unlocked a whole new level for me 🔓

Next Chapter ⚽
My son joined his local U8s football team — and I got asked to help out as a coach.
We had a great first season, and heading into the next, we got a brand new name.

So I did what I do best: put my skills to use and designed a fresh badge to match.
That one design led to more requests… and just like that, another door opened.

Design doesn’t just build brands — it builds communities.

After being made redundant, my father-in-law decided to chase a new path in painting & decorating.
He asked if I could help him with some business cards — and with my new-found confidence in design, I was all in.

I crafted a bold, vibrant colour combo that made him stand out, just like the work he does.
What started as a favour quickly became another reminder:
➡️ Design has power.

Caught Covid. Got laid off. Felt fine but wasn’t allowed back.
Bored and stuck, I found Printify and thought—why not chase the dream?
I started Spitball shirts to bring my art to tees, and people liked the designs…
But something was missing: identity. Meaning.
It looked good, but didn’t connect.
And without purpose, I lost the drive.

This is where it all began…

My wife had a dream to start a candle business. We picked a name that looked and sounded just right, and we were serious—we hired a branding agency, ready to invest in something real. But it didn’t go how we hoped. The designs felt soulless, our brief was ignored, and the connection with the designer just wasn’t there.

So I picked up a pen.

I’ve always loved to sketch and doodle, and something in me said, “Why not try?” Late nights after work, after the kids were in bed, I’d sit with my iPad and Apple Pencil, messing around on Procreate until something clicked.

And then it happened—I created something that felt right. Something real.
My wife loved it. I loved it. And that spark lit a fire I haven’t put down since.

That was the moment I realised: this is what I want to do.

Welcome to The Logo Chapter.
