A little creation for a very special mum

It’s been a while I know.
But I’m back.
I was privileged to take a few blooms from my dears friends brothers funeral flowers to dry and press. I also picked and pressed bluebells as they were my friends late beloved mother’s favourite flowers.
I have set the items in resin against a nights sky with half moons that look like smiles and a subtle aurora borealis to depict their colourful natures.

A repair job for a work colleague. Her necklace had 3 leaf beads and plain matching beads either side and she was very fond of it. Sadly with simple dress jewellery it will always break at some point. She gave me the leaves and remaining beads and asked if I could somehow reconstruct the piece.
So I kept in the grey colour scheme and this is the result 🩶

A memorial piece for my Dad

During his recovery of a laryngectomy he wrote on his little bit of paper ‘I’m missing all the bluebells’ and I replied ‘just this years dad. There’s always next years bluebells’

Sadly my lovely dad didn’t make it to see this years crop. And I had broken my promise he’d see them again. So I gathered a handful and took them home and dried them and placed them into epoxy resin.

I shall place them on your grave Dad. You will always have bluebells. And we will always love you 🧡
