Meet Imogen Radburn 🌟

After progressing through Formula Ford and the Australian F4 Championship, Imogen established herself as one of Australia's rising talents with multiple podium finishes in single-seater racing.

Imogen's performances also allowed her to become the first Australian rookie to test with F1 Academy 💪

In 2026, Imogen continues to drive change in motorsport with the launch of Radburn Racing, an all-female team competing in the Mustang Cup Australia, bringing together women across engineering, mechanics, communications, team management, and driving.

Watch this dream team compete the 12–14th of June at the Queensland Raceway!

Meet Dalia Ramos Guerra — the first Mexican woman to lead a department at an F1 team 🇲🇽

Dalia is a mechatronics engineer from Azcapotzalco, Mexico City who has worked as the Head of Build and Test at BWT Alpine F1 Team since 2021. She is responsible for assembling and validating the race car before it hits the track - overseeing mechanical build, final assembly, parts homologation, and validation testing 🔧

Her path to F1 was anything but conventional. She won scholarships to study mechatronics at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, going on to earn her master's degree in manufacturing engineering and management at the University of Nottingham. She spent six and a half years at Rolls-Royce in aerospace before spotting a job listing at Renault F1 Team, which then became Alpine 🚀

Dalia's story is proof that regardless of your background, the path exists - you just have to be the one to walk it!

Meet Gabby Hamill, Manager of INDY NXT Communications for Andretti Global ✨

Gabby joined Andretti INDYCAR & INDY NXT in early 2023 – but motorsport wasn’t her original plan. Like most individuals in the PR world, she started at an agency before stumbling across an Andretti job listing and thinking “why not”!

In her current role, Gabby is primarily responsible for driver engagement, media outreach/relations, and competition reporting. Still, she tends to dabble in just about everything, as most creatives do!

Gabby told Females in Motorsport that her most rewarding moment isn’t one specific achievement, but instead being someone people on the team feel they can reach out to for help and assistance.

Her advice for young girls and women who hope to one day find themselves in her role?

“Be open-minded. Try things that maybe aren’t at the top of your list because at the end of the day it’s going to help you in the long run. Get involved at your local track and reach out to build relationships – everyone knows each other and everyone is so supportive!”

From the pioneers who broke down barriers to the women leading teams, shaping strategies, competing on track and inspiring the next generation, women have always been part of motorsport's story.

We have been here from the very beginning and we will be here for every lap to come.

Today, more women are stepping into every area of the sport, and that presence will only continue to grow. Not because we are being invited in, but because we belong here.

It has been six years since the passing of Barbara Hamilton, the first female drag racer to be licensed by the NHRA to drive a Supercharged Gasser in 1964.

While still at high school, competing in drag racing at a national level had already become her ambition. It took her two years to convince the executives that she was capable of racing.

Barbara built her own car, an electric blue 1937 Willys coupé, together with her friend Nancy Leonello, which later led her to become a pioneering woman to receive an NHRA licence.

She proved the resilience of her machine by winning the CC/GS trophy at the 1966 NHRA Spring Nationals. In the same year, she made history by setting a record time of 11.94 seconds at a NASCAR drag race.

Unfortunately, she faced a huge challenge when her licence was revoked in 1967 at the Indy Nationals. She had to file a protest to retain it, alongside three other female drivers.

Her licence was later reinstated in 1968, paving the way for other female drag racers to have similar opportunities.

In recognition of her contributions, she was honoured in the International Drag Racing Hall of Fame in 1992 and awarded the prestigious Pat Garlits Memorial Award in 2014.

Thank you, Barbara 💜

Growing a global fanbase takes more than great racing on track.

It takes creativity, collaboration, and adaptability. That’s where Silvia, brand promotion manager for MotoGP, comes in 🤝

Meet Silvia Casas Fernández. She began her journey with MotoGP as an intern in 2016, and has spent over nine years advancing within the marketing team, taking on a variety of different roles before stepping into her role as brand promotion manager. Today she leads initiatives designed to expand MotoGP’s global reach and introduce the sport to new audiences!

Her work spans influencer marketing and brand collaborations, to partnerships with other sports and activations, all aimed at positioning MotoGP beyond the traditional motorsport space.

“I love working on projects that bring together sport, culture, entertainment, lifestyle and the digital world, and seeing how the brand can continue evolving and staying relevant for new generations of fans.”

Silvia plays a key role in guiding the evolution of MotoGP as a brand in a fast-developing and rapidly growing landscape of sport and entertainment 💪

F1 Academy is not the end goal for female drivers but only one step on the journey! 🏎️

F1 Academy provides an incredible platform for young female talent to develop and hone their skills before moving on to other highly competitive motorsport series. From continuing their single-seater journey in series such as the GB3 Championship to switching to endurance racing in series like the European Le Mans Series, F1 Academy has opened the door to many different paths for its graduates.

The series and its drivers keep breaking down barriers, and its graduates' development continues to grow! 💜

🇲🇨 Trackside and back at the factory, these are some of the women working hard behind the scenes ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix!

Whether they’re strategising like Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team’s Rosie Wait, searching for that extra 10th of a second in the data like McLaren’s Amelia Lewis, or ensuring that the engine is in tip top shape like Oracle Red Bull Racing’s Emmie Jones - these women are essential to the operation.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t fit ALL of the talented women hard at work this weekend in the post, but shoutout to every single one of them. We see you, and like we always say, if you can see it, you can be it 🤩
