HOW MUCH IS IT COSTING YOU TO NOT HAVE A PODCAST IN 2026?

I’m sharing ALL in my free training on the 23rd June!

My thoughts on the podcast industry’s dirty little secret! 🙊

27/05/2026

The most expensive mistake I see in podcasting isn’t a bad mic, a wonky launch, or a niche that’s too broad.

It’s quitting at episode 8.

Because here’s what nobody tells you when you start. A podcast isn’t like a social post or an email or an ad. It’s not a one-and-done piece of content that does its job and disappears.

A podcast compounds.

Episode 1 is still working for you when you publish episode 50. Old episodes pull in new listeners every single day. Someone discovers you in March, binges your back catalogue in April, and books a call with you in May from an episode you recorded last summer.

That’s the magic. That’s the whole point.

But you don’t get to see any of it if you quit at 8. And most people do.

Not because they’re lazy. Not because they’re not good enough. Because they’re doing every single job themselves, they’re burning out, and nobody told them the compound was coming.

That’s the bit we fix.

You record. We handle the rest. For 12 months. So you actually get to the part where the magic kicks in.

If this hit, follow along. I post about podcasting, AI, and getting more women heard.

DM LAUNCH if you’ve been sat on this for too long.

The dirty little secret of the podcast launch industry.

Most launch packages are designed to make the agency look good, not to make your podcast succeed.

They get you over the line. Trailer goes live. First three episodes drop. The agency posts a lovely case study on Instagram. Job done.

Except it isn’t. Because the launch was never the hard bit.

The hard bit is episode 14 in February when you’re tired, the stats are flat, and you’re wondering if anyone’s actually listening.

The hard bit is episode 22 when you’ve run out of guest ideas and the thought of editing one more file makes you want to scream.

The hard bit is episode 31 when life gets in the way and skipping a week turns into skipping a month turns into never coming back.

That’s where 90% of podcasts die. Not at the launch. At the long middle.

So when we built our Launch, we built it around the bit that actually matters. Strategy and launch yes, but also 12 months of production so you never have to do the boring jobs that make people quit.

You record. We do everything else. For a full year.

If this hit, follow along. I post about podcasting, AI, and getting more women heard.

“I don’t have time for a podcast.”

I hear this every single week and I have to physically stop myself from rolling my eyes.
Because it’s almost never about time.

You’ve got time for the Instagram hamster wheel. You’ve got time for the newsletter you write at 11pm. You’ve got time for the 14 voice notes a day to your business bestie.

What you don’t have is trust in yourself to stick with one thing for 12 months when nobody’s clapping yet.

That’s not a time problem. That’s a systems problem. And it’s a fixable one.

The reason most people quit at episode 8 is because they’re doing every single job themselves. Recording. Editing. Show notes. Publishing. Promoting. Chasing guests. Designing artwork.
Of course they burn out. Anyone would.

Our Launch is built around the opposite of that. You record. We do the rest. For 12 months.
That’s the whole point.

DM LAUNCH if you want to know how it works.

Genuine question for the ones who’ve been “going to” launch a podcast for the last two years.
What’s actually stopping you?

Because nine times out of ten, when I sit down with someone and we dig into it properly, it’s not the thing they thought it was.

It’s not the kit. It’s not the time. It’s not the format.

It’s the quiet fear that they’ll pour six months into something and end up shouting into the void.
Which is a fair fear to have. Most podcasts do flop. Most people do quit by episode 8. The stats are not on your side if you go it alone.

But that’s a strategy problem, not a courage problem. And strategy problems have fixes.
If this is landing too close to home, you know where to find me.

DM LAUNCH and let’s actually talk about it.

Trust doesn't come from being the loudest voice in the room. It comes from being the voice people want to hear.

Your podcast creates something social media struggles with - depth. When someone chooses to spend 20 minutes with you during their morning routine, that's a different level of connection than a 3-second scroll.

The research shows people need 20-30 touchpoints before they buy now. One podcast episode can create multiple touchpoints through clips, quotes, and repurposing. But more importantly, it builds belief faster than any Instagram post ever could.

Authority isn't about noise. It's about trust. And your podcast is the fastest way to build it.

Coaches who podcast close clients faster. Here’s why.

When someone listens to your podcast, they hear your voice. Your tone. Your energy. They get your approach, your values, the way you think.

By the time they land on a sales call with you, they already feel like they know you. There’s no awkward warm up. No “so tell me what you do.”
They’ve already bought into you as a person.

That’s the difference between a cold lead and a warm one who’s been in your ears for weeks.

I’ve launched over 1,000 podcasts and 95% of them hit the charts. The ones that convert best aren’t the flashiest.

They’re the ones where the host shows up consistently, shares real value, and talks to their audience like a human being.

A podcast builds trust at scale. One episode can do the work of dozens of posts. And unlike a reel that dies in 48 hours, a podcast episode keeps working for you months and even years later.

If you’re a coach or consultant spending hours on content that disappears overnight, it’s time to invest in something with staying power.

Your voice is the most powerful sales tool you’ve got. Use it.
Drop a 🎙️ if you’ve been thinking about starting a podcast this year.
