Branding and social media design for Spiritual Lioness.
This design is a personal brand, which needed expanding further, and the owner wanted a unique logo design that reflected her qualities.
The meaning behind this brand
Lion = Leo (the owners star sign)
Lioness = Female Lion (the owner is of course a female)
The enlightenment symbol = The Unalome represents female energies. This is placed on the Ajna, the third eye chakra.
Lotus = A symbol of spiritual enlightenment, growth and purity. The flower symbolizes one’s ability to perform their duty without being influenced by any desire, pleasure, or gain.
Mandala Crown = the half mandala like crown has equal symmetry and is basically a representation of the universe. It is a consecrated area that serves as a receptacle for the Gods and as a collection point of universal forces.
Blue eyes = reflects the inner qualities of stability, harmony, peace, tranquillity and trust. This colour has also been added to the third eye within the central lotus petal.
The logo was designed with these key elements and hence has a great significant meaning that connects the owner with the brand and what it represents. These business cards really shine bright, just like the owner of the brand. The gold on the dark blue background reflecting a night sky worked well the gold lioness shiny shimmer and our focus is immediately drawn to the lioness's bright and bold blue eyes. The gold shade resembles a lioness's shiny fur skin. Hiding behind an arrow to symbolise reaching goals and protecting her cubs.
It's good to know where your brand will be used. In most cases it is on printed material, like business stationery, t-shirts, banners, etc. But remember that it will also be used online, for example on your website and on your social media pages. Therefore its a good idea to keep in mind how the logo will sit and look on these various items during the design process, be it print or web.
For Spiritual Lioness, the logo was going to be included on every social media post, in order to reflect the brand. We therefore wanted the logo to work well as a watermark for Manju to be able to easily add to her daily affirmation posts. In some cases a full logo is not needed and the text itself can have an equal impact on the brand message. If the logo is to be resized to a smaller ratio then the details of it will also reduce and so it’s important to have the logo as a vector in various formats to decide which style works best for it's intended purpose of use.
