WEST SUSSEX CONNECTS — TEAM UPDATE
Guys, thank you all for your continued support and understanding.
We want to be completely open about where things currently stand with West Sussex Connects.
The Current Team Situation
At the moment, there is a gap within the team, with too few active people available to share the workload across everything we are trying to deliver.
This has put increasing pressure on the existing team and has made it difficult to maintain everything at the level we would like.
Our Immediate Decision
West Sussex Connects is staying open.
By this, we mean the group and its community presence will remain active. We are not shutting WSC down or walking away from the work that has already been built.
However, while we address the current team gap, some areas may operate at a reduced level or take longer to develop. We don't want to promise more than the current team can realistically deliver.
During this period, we will be reviewing the team structure, responsibilities and the additional support we need.
What Happens Next
Our focus will be on:
• Strengthening and rebuilding the WSC team
• Moving forward with the WSCP revamp
• Developing our TikTok presence and content team
• Continuing to support local and independent businesses across West Sussex
• Promoting local events, activities and community information
• Establishing a more sustainable way of working
So, to be clear: WSC is not closing. We are staying open while we work through the team situation and decide how best to move forward.
We want to build something that can continue long-term without putting unreasonable pressure on a small number of people.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support WSC, WSCP, our local businesses and the wider community. It genuinely means a lot.
