Hey, I’m Lucy - the face behind La Muse and your freelance marketing
manager. I’ve been working in the creative and marketing world for over 10
years. I started out with a degree in filmmaking, moved into brand
and graphic design, and then spent 5 years in-house marketing -
including working as Marketing Manager for a leadership organisation. Because it was a small team and I was the whole marketing
department, I learned a huge range of skills - from strategy and press,
to social media, email marketing, and everything in between. I’ve also worked white label with marketing agencies and have been
the one to hire and manage other freelancers, so I understand how to
work seamlessly with different teams. Now, through La Muse, I work with both busy entrepreneurs and
organisations - whether that’s running their marketing for them or
stepping in to give extra support when needed.

Quick heads up ⚠️

I’ve been made aware that someone is using my name and La Muse branding on Telegram to offer fake freelance work and ask people for money.

This is not me and is not associated with La Muse.

I do not recruit freelancers through Telegram and I will never ask you to send money in exchange for work.

If you receive anything that looks suspicious, please don’t send any money or personal information. Feel free to message me directly to check if something is genuine.

The best email marketing doesn’t feel like marketing.

It feels like a story, a conversation and a community people want to come back to.

One of the quickest ways to improve your email click-through rates is to leave a little curiosity on the table.
Your email doesn’t need to answer every question. It just needs to make people want the next chapter.

Your business has grown. Has your marketing resource grown with it?

One of the biggest misconceptions we see is that businesses only outsource marketing when they don’t have a team.

In reality, many of our clients already have someone managing their marketing.

What they don’t have is enough time, enough capacity, or enough hands to do everything they want to do.

If campaigns are being delayed, your email list is gathering dust, and great ideas never seem to make it out of the planning stage, it might not be a marketing problem.

It might be a support problem. Sometimes you don’t need another employee. You just need the right partner.

Holiday let owners wanting more direct bookings...

Small business owners who know they should be posting more on social media but never seem to get round to it...

I see you.

Most people come to me because social media keeps sliding down the to-do list. Not because they don’t want to do it, but because they’re busy running their business.

One of my clients runs a holiday cottage and wanted to be more visible online without spending hours every week creating content.

So we keep things simple.

I send over content ideas, they film clips when it suits them and I turn everything into reels and captions ready to post.

Over time we’ve built up a bank of content too, which means we’re not constantly starting from scratch every month.

They’re free to focus on running the business while still showing up online, connecting with potential guests and driving more traffic to their website.

A few months into working together they sent me this:
“Lucy has been amazing and so patient at unpicking my Facebook and Instagram accounts and then setting them and me on the right track. Some great reels have been created after agreeing a strategy together. I am seeing views and engagement numbers that I have never seen before!”

Not every business needs full social media management.

Sometimes you just need support creating content that keeps your business visible while you get on with everything else.

For many experience-led businesses, marketing spend feels difficult to prioritise when budgets are tight.

But the bigger challenge is often not the amount being spent... it’s whether that spend is going into disconnected activity or a joined-up system.

When social media, email marketing, and messaging aren’t aligned, it becomes harder to create consistent enquiries and predictable bookings.

A structured approach helps turn marketing into something that actively supports revenue rather than reacting to it.

If you’re ready to explore a more strategic approach, get in touch.
