What Is a Moodboard?

Before diving into the design of a brand’s visual identity, there’s one step I never skip: creating a moodboard. ✨

Think of it as the brand’s first heartbeat. It’s where ideas start to take shape and where the look and feel of the identity begins to come alive. A moodboard helps capture the emotion and atmosphere behind a brand. It turns scattered thoughts into something you can actually see — colours, textures, typography, photography, all working together to tell a story.

For clients, it’s that moment of clarity. They can finally visualise their brand’s personality and direction. For me, it’s my creative map. It keeps the process focused, intentional, and true to the strategy we’ve built together. When a visual identity starts with a clear direction, everything that follows just flows naturally.
