HOW TO NATURALLY AVOID VIRUSES AND MALWARES WITHOUT USING ANTIVIRUSES.
In today's world of advanced technological connectivity via various devices, protecting your devices from virus and malware attacks isn't just a tech issue but a daily necessity.
Truly, anti-viruses play a key role; however, using anti-viruses is like wearing Kevlar to a gun fight when you could have avoided the fight completely. If you'd agree, we can see it’s better to prevent than to protect, so here are simple natural habits that can drastically reduce your chances of infection—no downloads required 😉
Be cautious with email links and attachments:
Don't open or download anything suspicious or unexpected from known and unknown contacts. If you're curious about viewing an unexpected link or attachment a contact sent you, you can copy the link and view it on a dummy device or virtual environment with no ties to you.
Avoid downloading software from unverified websites:
Stick to official app stores or trusted sources, if you must use a software sourced for an unverified website, you can use the software on a dummy device or virtual environment with no ties to you.
Turn off your Bluetooth and WI-FI when not in use:
It's always safe to turn off your Bluetooth and WI-FI even if your WI-FI has a security because hackers can sniff on your WI-FI and hack your password, however this process will take their time, so if you don't have the WI-FI on for long enough the hack won't work. If your WI-FI gets hacked and connected onto, your Wi-Fi could be used to gain access to and control of all your devices connected to the hacked Wi-Fi, this process also takes time, so if you are not connected to your hacked WI-FI for long enough the hack won't work and you'll be safe.
Don’t click on pop-up ads or fake warning messages:
These are common traps that can easily lead you to downloading or installing a malware or virus.
These ads also redirect you to spam sites that pressure you into allowing push notifications, that floods your notification bar and can be really annoying.
Be mindful of USB drives and external devices:
Some USB drives or external devices might be already infected with viruses and malware which they can transfer onto any other device they connect onto. It's safe to only use ones you trust.
Regularly back up important files:
Its always good to always have an external backup of important files just in case malware strikes, that way your data stays safe, you can't be too careful.
Cybersecurity starts with smart habits. By staying informed and alert, you can naturally reduce your exposure to harmful threats—no fancy tools needed.
