🍇The 22nd edition of the Vinarium International Wine Contest took place on May 22–25, 2025, in Romania. Held under the patronage of the OIV (International Organization of Vine and Wine) and VINOFED (World Federation of Major International Wine and Spirits Competitions), this year’s event gathered over 1,300 samples from 22 countries, judged by a panel of both local and international experts.

Once again, I had the honor of representing Georgia🇬🇪 — tasting wines, and then tasting even more wines! 🍷

Beyond the professional side of the event, we had the wonderful opportunity to visit Dealu Mare, a nearby wine region rich in character. They call it Romanian Toscana🇧🇪
When I first came to Dealu Mare, I was told it's primarily known for its reds. And yes, the red wines are impressive — but the whites like Fetească Regală, Fetească Albă, and Tămâioasă Românească from this region are truly elegant and full of personality.

The cuisine, hospitality, and folklore of Romania are simply fantastic — making my Romanian soul proud ❤️

One of the most outstanding Ojaleshi wines I've ever tried. It boasts a semi-dry profile, exuding rich aromas, a full-bodied character, and a delightful hint of chocolate in its aftertaste. This wine is a testament to minimal intervention, being unfiltered with an 8-day fermentation period. I eagerly anticipate sampling its dry iteration.
