It’s been a month since Shatta announced the “ Freedom Wave Festival “ which was to take place from the 20th to the 25th of December at the Accra Stadium. The news was already everywhere then boom , Stonebwoy wants to do a show on same stadium on the 22nd . He is aware Shatta and Medikal announced their festival , he is away they have been doing it for years but looks like he just wants to disturb it .
The Ghanaian industry is still growing , if you see your brother doing something great , don’t try to come in between. Burna Boy can’t announce a concert in a particular venue and Wizkid goes ahead to try to organize his own same day and same place . It will look like it’s a sabotage . Nigerians know you do not need to put anyone down before you stand . They are all about making money together.
The Freedom wave festival wasn’t just about music , it was a festival where a lot was to happen . It was a festival where the youths will showcase their talents, Shatta was going to talk to the youths , inspire , motivate and definitely support them . Companies were already coming in . Stopping this concert is not stopping Shatta but destabilizing a whole movement and depriving the youths from a lot of.
Stoneboy could still choose a date like 26th, or before 20th . He could do that and even ask his brother to come show him love and trust us Shatta could come .
Ghana doesn’t need this now , Unity is an important thing in any growing industry . Shatta was right when he said don’t let them see you coming , cus when they see you , they’ll fight you .
We hope this gets fixed because we were already getting ready to storm Ghana . 🇬🇭
