Forward March - Ghana

Two Heads Are Better Than One.

Growing up, I used to watch my big sis do most of the washing early in the morning during the weekends. The only part I had to play was to fetch her water and get any other stuff she would need in place. I'd hurry back inside to go watch Tom & Jerry Kids since it was mostly shown on Saturday morning.
I remember a few times where I had to help in the rinsing of the washed stuff. It was "squeezing the water out of the clothes" part that I enjoyed most. Whenever she got to bigger cloths and she needed help, she'd ask me to come hold one side of it while she holds the other side (as pictured above). The joy in which I would be turning and pulling the cloth just to get the water out always made me feel like I was part of "The washing team" 😁. Some weeks ago, I came back home to meet Peggy and her elder sis Shashah washing together. This very scene brought back so many memories and I couldn't help but to capture it.
The joy and bonding between them in this scene speaks for itself.
