CMC has officially launched its Comprehensive 24-Hour Operational Framework: Offload 24, Load 24, and Export 24, marking a significant step toward improving efficiency, responsiveness, and competitiveness across Ghana’s cocoa logistics and export chain.
Under the new framework, CMC is moving beyond the limitations of the traditional workday to better align its operations with ports, shipping lines, haulers, and other key partners that already operate beyond conventional working hours.
will enable CMC to receive cocoa around the clock from Licensed Buying Companies, helping reduce truck queues and unnecessary delays.
will support the continuous supply of cocoa to local processing factories, enabling processors to make better use of available capacity.
will extend inspection, stuffing, sealing, documentation, and other export preparation activities beyond conventional working hours to support more efficient shipment of Ghana’s cocoa.
The initiative goes beyond simply keeping CMC facilities open at night. It is designed to improve turnaround times, reduce idle capacity, accelerate exports, support employment through multiple shifts, and strengthen Ghana’s competitiveness in the global cocoa trade.
CMC remains equally committed to ensuring that increased operating hours do not compromise safety, quality, or the integrity of Ghana’s cocoa. Operational expansion will therefore be supported by necessary improvements in infrastructure, security, surveillance, health facilities, and other safeguards.
The framework is part of CMC’s contribution to Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Program, with a focus on stronger logistics integration, greater domestic processing, and the faster movement of cocoa from the warehouse to the factory, port, and international market.

As CMC begins this transformation, the message is clear:
Ghana is ready to work.
Ghana is ready to export.
Ghana is ready to compete.
And CMC is ready to play its part.
