**A SIMPLE 7-DAY FACEBOOK CONTENT PLAN FOR SMALL BUSINESSES**

Many business owners disappear from Facebook because they do not know what to post.

Others post only when they have something to sell.

You do not need to publish randomly. You need a simple content plan that helps you educate people, build trust and promote your business consistently.

Here is a practical seven-day plan:

✅ **MONDAY — Educate**

Share one useful tip, lesson or common mistake connected to your product or service.

Example:

“Three mistakes to avoid when buying a used laptop.”

✅ **TUESDAY — Show your product or service**

Show what you sell in action.

Explain how it works, who it is for and the problem it solves.

Do not write only “Available.”

✅ **WEDNESDAY — Share proof**

Post a genuine customer review, completed project, before-and-after result or success story.

People trust evidence more than promises.

✅ **THURSDAY — Engage your audience**

Ask a relevant question, create a poll or invite customers to choose between two options.

Make the question easy to answer.

✅ **FRIDAY — Go behind the scenes**

Show how you prepare orders, serve customers, create your products or manage your daily operations.

This makes your business feel human and trustworthy.

✅ **SATURDAY — Promote an offer**

Present a product, service, package or special offer.

Clearly state the value, price, location and how to order.

✅ **SUNDAY — Inspire and connect**

Share a business lesson, customer appreciation message, founder’s story or meaningful reflection.

Remember:

You do not have to post seven times every week.

Choose three or four content types you can produce consistently and do them well.

A simple weekly formula could be:

**Educate • Prove • Engage • Promote**

Consistency does not mean posting every day.

It means showing up regularly with content that gives people a reason to trust and remember your business.

**HOW TO TURN FACEBOOK ENGAGEMENT INTO PAYING CUSTOMERS**

Likes and comments may make your post look successful, but they do not automatically put money into your business.

The real question is:

**How do you move people from engaging with your content to buying from you?**

Use this simple process:

✅ **1. Respond to comments quickly**

When someone comments on your post, do not reply with only “Thanks.”

Continue the conversation.

Ask a useful question, provide more information or guide the person toward the next step.

✅ **2. Make your offer clear**

People should understand exactly what you sell, who it is for and how it helps them.

Do not make customers struggle to figure out what your business offers.

✅ **3. Give one clear call to action**

Tell people what to do next:

• Send a message
• Call or WhatsApp your business
• Visit your shop
• Request the price list
• Book an appointment
• Place an order

Too many instructions can confuse potential customers.

✅ **4. Follow up professionally**

Some people will ask about your product and disappear.

Do not pressure them, but do not ignore them either.

A polite follow-up could be:

“Hello, I’m checking whether you still need help with the product you asked about. I’ll be happy to answer any questions.”

✅ **5. Make buying easy**

A customer may be interested but still leave if your buying process is difficult.

Clearly provide:

• The price
• Payment options
• Delivery information
• Location
• Contact details
• How to place an order

Remember:

**Engagement creates attention. Trust creates interest. A clear process creates sales.**

Do not chase likes alone.

Build conversations that lead people toward a confident buying decision.

**What is the biggest challenge in your business: getting engagement or converting interested people into customers?**

Share your answer in the comments.

**HOW TO WRITE FACEBOOK CAPTIONS THAT GET COMMENTS AND CUSTOMERS**

A good product can still be ignored when the caption is weak.

Many business owners post a picture and write:

“Available.”

“Quality products.”

“DM for price.”

These captions give people little reason to stop, read or respond.

Use this simple four-part formula instead:

✅ **1. Start with a strong hook**

Your first sentence should address a problem, desire or question your customer understands.

Instead of:

“New shoes available.”

Try:

“Are you tired of buying office shoes that lose their shape after a few months?”

✅ **2. Explain the value**

Do not only describe what the product is. Explain what it helps the customer achieve.

Tell people how it saves time, solves a problem, improves their appearance, reduces stress or makes life easier.

✅ **3. Add proof**

Customers may not believe everything a business says about itself.

Use genuine reviews, completed work, before-and-after results, demonstrations or customer experiences to build trust.

✅ **4. Give one clear action**

Do not confuse people with five different instructions.

Ask them to do one thing:

• Comment
• Send a message
• Call your business
• Visit your shop
• Click your link
• Save or share the post

A useful caption formula is:

**Hook + Value + Proof + Action**

For example:

“Do your cakes become dry before the celebration is over?

Our freshly baked cakes remain soft, rich and enjoyable throughout your event. This design was prepared for a customer’s birthday in Accra, and she loved both the taste and presentation.

Send us a message to reserve your date.”

Your caption should not merely announce that something is available.

It should help the customer understand why it matters.

**What is more difficult for you: writing the opening sentence or creating the call to action?**

Share your answer in the comments.

**5 REASONS YOUR FACEBOOK POSTS ARE NOT GETTING ENGAGEMENT**

You post regularly, but people are not commenting, sharing or sending you messages.

Before blaming the Facebook algorithm, examine your content.

Here are five common reasons your business posts may not be performing:

✅ **You are always selling**

If every post says “Buy now,” “Available” or “DM for price,” people will eventually stop paying attention.

Educate, entertain and build trust before asking people to buy.

✅ **Your captions are too generic**

“Happy Monday” and “We are open” may not give people a strong reason to respond.

Share useful information, tell a relatable story or ask a specific question.

✅ **You are not showing proof**

Customers want evidence that your business is genuine.

Share real testimonials, completed work, customer experiences, behind-the-scenes moments and product demonstrations.

✅ **You are talking at people, not with them**

Facebook is a social platform, not an announcement board.

Ask questions, invite opinions and respond properly when people comment.

✅ **You are inconsistent**

Posting five times today and disappearing for three weeks will not build a dependable audience.

Create a simple content plan you can maintain.

Your business does not necessarily need more posts.

It needs more useful, trustworthy and engaging posts.

**Which of these five mistakes has affected your business page the most?**

Be honest in the comments.

Save this post and share it with a business owner who needs it.

**WHAT SHOULD YOUR BUSINESS POST ON FACEBOOK?**

Many business owners in Ghana and across Africa use Facebook only to advertise products and prices.

But people will not follow your page simply because you are always selling. They follow businesses that educate them, engage them, build trust and solve real problems.

Here are five types of content your business should post:

✅ **Educate your audience**
Share useful tips, tutorials, frequently asked questions and common mistakes related to your products or services.

✅ **Show your products in action**
Do not only post a product picture and write “available.” Demonstrate how it works, explain its benefits and show customers why they need it.

✅ **Share customer testimonials**
Post genuine reviews, success stories and customer experiences. In our market, people are more likely to buy when they see that others trust your business.

✅ **Take people behind the scenes**
Show how you prepare orders, package products, serve clients or manage your daily operations. This makes your business feel real and trustworthy.

✅ **Create conversations**
Ask questions, run polls and invite customers to share their opinions. Facebook rewards content that encourages meaningful engagement.

You can also post:

• New arrivals and special offers
• Before-and-after results
• Business tips and industry updates
• Meet-the-team content
• Community activities
• Short videos and Facebook Reels
• Answers to customer questions

Your page should not look like an online price list.

It should educate, engage, inspire, promote and connect.

**Which type of content does your business need to post more often?**

Share this with a business owner who is struggling with what to post on Facebook.
