Fellow Dreamers,
There are times that people think you are going nowhere with your dream. They may not understand why you keep on trying although you've failed several times.
There are times when fear and mediocrity cow our creativity and inner genius into inaction and rust.
We therefore go through life not living to our full potential.
The truth is, when we are not discouraged by challenges and keep pressing forward, we will end up surprising ourselves and everyone else with our achievements.
Our dreams may sound 'crazy' now and we shd not expect everyone to be in support.
To those who understand us, no explanation is necessary. To those who don't understand us, no explanation will suffice.
God bless our hustle.
One day, we shall tell our story.

Most times, we go through life as "volunteer victims". We give excuses on why we are not pursuing our dreams.
I have learnt that my life now is not a rehearsal for another life later on.
I have decided to live NOW and the future will be shaped by what i do today.
I encourage you therefore to start putting your plans into action;
that dream business,
that talent hiding deep within you,
that idea you are underestimating
or those words you want to say to someone.
This is the only life we've got. Living the life we dream of starts from now because we deserve it.
Let's reflect on the words of Nelson Mandela ---
"It always seems impossible until it's done"

MY PLAN FOR THE FUTURE

It is often said that, 'failing to plan is planning to fail.' This statement suggests that without planning, one is bound to fail. This makes it incumbent on us , the up and coming to put on our 'thinking caps' and plan for the future.

Numerous discoveries and life-changing decisions have been made since Adam and we do not have to go about re-inventing the wheel. What we need to do is to add to what we have in place and introduce novelties, whether individually or collectively.

Your plan for the future should be a life-changing phenomenon, a unique agenda. An agenda which is not to be of individual benefit but of societal well-being. You may decide to replicate something which already exists but it will be better if it has a 'personal touch', if it has some other flavour of its own, so that it appears new.

A plan for the future should be a challenge to all; it should be difficult to beat. You need to elevate the bar, above what already exists. You need to raise the standards, in your academics, sports or any worthy endeavour you undertake.

Your plan for the future should have the ability to cause change. It should have a positive effect on society so that it is acknowledged by all and sundry. It should be appreciated in various ways including being awarded honours. A good plan for the future challenges the status quo and is also dynamic.

You need to be passionate about your plan, giving it your all, knowing that great struggles bring great victories. You should be time conscious and be a respecter of time. Patience counts but to have a sense of urgency also puts you on your toes and prevents procrastination.

My plan for the future has begun; you can start yours now, knowing that there is a place for everybody's contribution in the world. Make it unique, make it the best, and make it now!

How do you know who you are? Likely, you add up all the events in your life that you can remember and this helps your form your sense of self or your identity. These moments in your personal history, whether glorious or terrible, are touchstones that you can't forget. They've left an impact--they won't be forgotten--and when you write an autobiography of yourself, these moments will inevitably be recorded.

POSITIVE THINKING - IT STARTS WITHIN YOU

Successful people, those people with robust senses of self-worth, remember the good, the diamonds, not the bad and the lumps of coal. They don't dwell on painful and embarrassing episodes from their past. They wouldn't even consider allowing these moments to define their identity. The trouble is that the further you go back in your past, the greater the chances are that who you were, or your "remembered" identity, doesn't match up with who you are. There were people who were incredibly popular or successful in JHS, SHS or even in the university but nowhere to be found afterwards. Then there are those people who made mistakes in their past, but those errors do not necessarily depict who they are now.
The past is gone. The future will come. But, what matters most is your present. Your NOW.

We shouldn't let remembered identity (the past) cheat us in the moment. While there's nothing wrong with looking back to the past to sort out your strengths and weaknesses, there is something wrong with holding onto the past and creating a picture of yourself that is someone who doesn't exist anymore

Think positive. Focus on your NOW because it will be your past soon. Make the best out of the moment. You are who you think you are.

"Find the joy. When you feel it, let it wash over you... take a moment to appreciate it. Be grateful for the people in your life, for waking up feeling good and pain free, and for the stretch of road ahead that's so full of possibilities. When you encounter bumps, keep going and don't look back."
—Katie Couric
