Their heritage reminds us that the Akan people may have different histories, dialects and traditions, but we are bound by a common identity and a shared cultural heritage.

From the ancient throne where greatness began,
Rose the Bono—first among the Akan.
Guardians of wisdom, courage, and gold,
A timeless story waiting to be told.
From Bono Manso, history took flight,
Lighting the Akan world with culture so bright.
Their language, traditions, and royal pride,
Flow like a river, deep and wide.
The beat of the fontomfrom echoes their fame,
Each rhythm preserving an honoured name.
The woven Kente, the royal stool,
Speak of a people both noble and true.
They tilled the land, they forged the trade,
Built mighty kingdoms that history made.
Their legacy lives in every clan,
The heartbeat and soul of the Akan.
Today we do not merely perform,
We awaken the voices of those before us.
We dance with gratitude,
We sing with pride,

For Bono's heritage shall forever abide.
