I created this StringArt piece for Gambian professional footballer Steve Trawally about two years ago, but somehow it took two years for it to finally reach him.

At this year’s The Gambia Chamber of Commerce & Industry - GCCI Trade Fair, someone spotted Steve, told him about the artwork, and brought him to my stall. The moment he saw it, his reaction was simply: “Waaaaw! That’s a nice work!”

He loved it, paid for it immediately, and took it home.

A big thank you to ITC Gambia and its partners for creating opportunities for local businesses like Bah Arts & Designs to showcase our creativity and reach new customers through the trade fair. 🇬🇲❤️

It was a pleasure welcoming my brother and fellow YALI Cohort 46 alumnus, Tejan Tejan Ishaq Kamara from Sierra Leone, to my BAH ARTS stall during the The Gambia Chamber of Commerce & Industry - GCCI Trade Fair.

Tejan, the YALI Spirit Award Winner for Cohort 46, came to The Gambia and commissioned a piece from BAH ARTS. What makes this moment special is knowing that a connection built through YALI has grown into an opportunity to support and celebrate each other's work. 🙏🏾
