Happy New Year to everyone.
As the new year gets underway, we’re settling back into the rhythm of work at Electric Design Studio and continuing conversations with companies who are thinking carefully about how their brand shows up in the world.
Much of what we do centres on designing websites, identities, and printed materials as connected parts of a wider system, rather than a collection of one-off pieces.
As we move into 2026, we’re also reflecting on how tools like AI has settled into everyday creative workflows. While powerful and increasingly present, I see AI as something that works best alongside good design thinking — supporting research, exploration, and efficiency, rather than replacing judgement, craft, or intent. Design, at its core, still relies on understanding people, context, and nuance...and thankfully machines haven't quite reached that level of what makes us human.
In the months ahead, we’ll continue supporting businesses as they refine what they already have, bring clarity to growing digital spaces, and create greater consistency across the materials they use every day. Our approach remains steady and considered, focusing on thoughtful decisions, connected systems, and design that holds up over time...with technology used as an aid, not a shortcut.
