In 2019, I created a book about Art & Design at the Dutch Embassy in Jakarta, and now, 3 years later a similar project about the newly renovated residence of Consul General Arjen van den Berg in Hong Kong.

Laboyrie is an interesting piece of architecture of the Dutch Government built in 1938, using two different styles: Beaux-Art and Spanish Eclectic. Laboyrie received a full ‘makeover’ in 2021 to coincide with the fiftieth year since its purchase for The Netherlands Consul General.

This booklet will introduce the stories behind the architecture, the Dutch Design furniture, and the old & new artworks of the redesigned residence.
