Already missing Japan and the pink world of the Sakura season 🌸

At .temple just outside Osaka, the experience felt even more special. Known as the Daruma Temple, it’s a place where thousands (if not tens of thousands) of Daruma dolls carry the wishes, intentions, and quiet hopes of those who visit.

Set within beautifully landscaped gardens, surrounded by forested hills and a serene lake, the temple invites you to slow down.

My first Sakura season, wrapped in moments like this… already unforgettable.

🌸🌸🌸There’s something almost surreal about how quickly it happens: just a few days where everything softens, the light shifts, and the air carries that quiet sense of transition.

For a brief moment, everything slows down to take in nature’s show. Parks fill, streets feel lighter, and the city seems to pause.

Dry landscape (the country is facing a drought situation), days of grey skies. with blossoms that felt like they might never arrive during our trip, I was almost losing hope… but then, it happened.

My first cherry blossom season: already unforgettable 🌸🌸🌸

No signal, just sunrises, sunsets, and unlimited dive tanks and a lot of underwater pristine life. Found my hidden gem for a way too short long diving weekend.



The 26h to get here from Bali are so worth the journey.

Photography has always been in my blood, and there’s something magical about going back to the basics and the anticipation of waiting for film to develop. Since 2023, I’ve been carrying my dad’s Yashica Electro 35 wherever I go (the first camera I’ve used) it’s the perfect companion, especially since my Rolleiflex is too precious and bulky for travel.

On my recent adventures in Taiwan, I found myself torn between my iPhone and Nikon D810, often forgetting the Yashica. I wish I had captured moments at my favorite station in Alishan, the bustling promenade in Tamsui, or the grandeur of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and its gardens on film. But I was too absorbed in soaking up the experiences. Here’s to the memories made and the next roll of film waiting to be taken! 📷✨

I missed the time to grab the camera / drone and just capture the beauty around me. The funniest thing is that my favourite photos of Nihioka Spa been taken during a short break while guests are heading for breakfast.

Not only is the most beautiful spa in the world, where each bale has ocean view (even if you’re face down having a massage you can still see the ocean), but Nihioka is now home to NIHI’s retired horses where they have found a second life in the most peaceful sanctuary. They are the stars of the program offering the guests a transformative experience.

I typically keep my feed focused on my own work, but I couldn’t resist sharing this! A talented young painter, , reached out to me recently with the sweetest request: she wanted to use one of my photos as inspiration for her art.

The photo is one I took maybe 2 years ago of the hills near the stables overlooking the resort where our Sumba horses love to graze.

I don’t know about you, but I think her work is way better than the photo. And I must say it captures some of the essence and magic of , which i find difficult to get in photos and video (I often say that NIHI is better than any photo and video you see).
