The biggest issue nowadays with social media is that everyone wants everything right now, and most of the time for free!
_
People are so used to getting the information they search online for free that they believe that is how it should be all the time!
_
Tell yourself, the skill you are not willing to spend time learning, someone else has acquired that skill and expertise over years of research or practice. And that know-how has value.
_
This reminds me of the story of Picasso.
_
The story goes that Picasso was sitting in a Paris café when an admirer approached and asked if he would do a quick sketch on a paper napkin. Picasso politely agreed, swiftly executed the work, and handed back the napkin — but not before asking for a rather significant amount of money. The admirer was shocked: “How can you ask for so much? It took you a minute to draw this!” “No”, Picasso replied, “It took me 40 years”

So if you decide to create yourself a better life tomorrow, you will need to work hard every single day until the day you make it happen.

You have to fight for what you want because what you want won't fight for you.

If you watched the recent podcast of Joe Rogan with Elon Musk, you must have heard this quote:"happiness equals reality minus expectation"

They were discussing how social media tends to make everything look perfect and so far from reality and I could not agree more.
_
We need to stop comparing ourselves to others and start being ourselves. Start embracing the person you are and stop thinking about what people may think.
_
People will not be interested in you because you can do the same thing as someone else. They will be interested in you because of you, your personality and the message you decide to share.
_
Happiness can only be found within you and no one else can be responsible for your happiness but yourself. So find the ONE thing that makes you feel alive and never let it go. That will be the one thing that will bring fulfillment into your life.

A month ago, I celebrated my one-year anniversary after quitting the corporate world and going freelance. That decision came with a lot of question marks in my mind:
Is this the end of my corporate life?
Will I be able to sustain my expenses without a steady income?
What if it was a mistake?
_
And you know what? You will never know unless you do it!
_
In one year, I have learned so much about myself, social media marketing, running a freelance business.
_
I have been able to travel to 9 countries, spend quality time with friends and family, network with incredible online entrepreneurs and built a community of aspiring entrepreneurs willing to learn how to use Instagram to run their businesses.
_
The beauty of it is that once the machine is set up, everything runs on automation for me and I only need to work 2-3h a day on answering emails, having client calls, and making sure everything runs smoothly!
_
Today, I am thinking about what's next? And I believe the answer is consulting, not only for consumers but also, for small and medium businesses and help them leverage the power of Instagram for their businesses.
_

Many people would advise doing what you love if you decide to run a business because then it won't feel like a chore and you will be motivated every single day to work on your business.
_
Right?
_
Well, that is not entirely true. Most people following only their passion will end up with a very expensive hobby than anything else.
_
What you need is a combination of three things:
Passion
Skills
Market needs
_
It is only then that you will find the sweet spot to run a profitable business you are passionate about.
_
It is absolutely to turn a passion into a successful business but that requires hard work and a great business strategy to attract the right customers.
_
So my advice to you if you are planning to start your business, find your sweet spot.

In order to be successful in life, you need to be open minded. Stay curious, ask questions, try it yourself, make yourself your own opinion.

The mistake many people do is to listen to what people say rather than trying to find the answer themselves.
_
Traveling has opened my mind to a world full of opportunities. If I did not start traveling, I would have never learned English, I would have never met incredible people from around the world who are now my best friends, I would have never been exposed to information that would contribute to my personal development.
_
Whatever you want to do in life, do your own homework and make your own opinion on the topic.
_
It is easy to follow the crowd, but it is only when you will decide to go against the current that you will start seeing true colors.

Do you use Instagram for your business?

In 2016, when I started my Instagram account, I really had no idea of how to use it from a business perspective. I was just using it to share my journey as an online entrepreneur and tried to motivate others who were on the same path as I was.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In 2017, I reached the famous 10K followers milestone without even trying. What did I do?
I was posting consistently and with purpose.
I made sure my feed was cohesive
I shared my personal experience

And guess what? Doing this has allowed me to monetise my account and earn a living from it. That allowed me to quit my corporate life and help others do the exact same thing with Instagram.

Whether you are a solo entrepreneur or a small and medium business, Instagram is the best platform in 2018 to promote a business without advertising in my opinion.

And guess what? Your number of followers doesn't matter. That is one of the biggest misconceptions on Instagram.

All you need is to share your voice and have true fans to support you along your journey.

Have you ever noticed how our minds can work without even having to think about something all the time?

i.e. You just heard a song you love and you definitely know the name of the artist, but suddenly your mind goes blank and cannot recall its name. You let it go and a couple hours later, out of the blue, bam! You got the name!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Is it by luck? no, it is just your subconscious mind working while you are busy with your life. It is like a software programmed to search the database of information in your brain and recall what you need without you having to fully think about it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Same thing applies to achieving your dreams.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If your mind cannot conceive it, it will never be able to undertake the actions necessary to reach them.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When I was still working a corporate life, all I wanted was to travel the world. So I created a vision board and put everything I wanted to do and achieve within a year. I would look at that vision board every morning when I wake up and every night before going to sleep.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And guess what? In 2016 I traveled to 13 countries and in 2017 I traveled to 14 countries! Did I work hard to do this? Yes and no.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Yes, because it required time, money and dedication to travel so often in a year.
No, because this is what I wanted to do and everything kinda fell into place because I already had the vision of what I wanted to achieve.

Your mind is more powerful than you think. Learn how to train it to get what you want and you will be surprised by the results you will get.

What is your WHY? What is the reason you decided to start a business?

We all have internal motivations. i.e. I want to be free, I want to be able to travel the world, I want to be my own boss and not worry about money.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But how many of you have an external motivation?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It is very easy for us to allow ourselves to get away with things.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Hence, the reason your WHY should not be about you until you know how to be accountable for yourself.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Having an external motivation will push you to get the results you need to be successful because if you do not take actions, the consequences will not only affect you but your business and the people around you.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Find your WHY, take actions and help the lives of others before thinking about your own benefit.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Only then you will reach the success you need in your business.

It's funny how life works sometimes, you can always imagine things but you never know how things will manifest.
_
It is important to have a vision and a plan on what you absolutely want in your life. But don't expect things to happen the way you want it, life somehow put challenges along your path to success to test you.
_
Are you REALLY ready to do everything in your power to reach your dream goal?
_
Your attitude towards the obstacle on your way will either make or break you.
_
Don't lose sight of your goals and keep on going, things will start manifesting in your life like magic!
