Just sharing something I saw not sure of its validity...
There's a ton of posts going around claiming Facebook is limiting all non-verified accounts to just 2 link posts per month starting this week. Screenshots from different countries, different dates, etc. So I did some research. Here's what I found: FB has not published any official policy about this. Not in their help center, not in their business documentation, nowhere. At least no where I have found. Now with that said... from what I have found and the screen grabs being shared.... It may more factual then not. I follow some great minds when it comes to social media and marketing and trust what they are seeing.
Are some people seeing this message? Apparently yes. Is it a confirmed, global rule? No...not yet anyways.
To be fair, FB has been reducing reach on link posts for over a decade. They want you to stay on Facebook, not click away. So a move like this fits their strategy perfectly. It would also create pressure to buy Meta Verified, which is exactly what they want.
But without official word or ducmentation, we can't tell if this is a real rollout, a regional test, a bug, or just someone's creative Photoshop work that got passed around too many times ... and we have all seen and been subject to those fake photos! Remember Glamour Shots... lol!
My thoughts? Keep an eye on your account. If you see a notice about link limits, screenshot it and adjust your strategy. Put links in comments (I have been doing this for a long time).
When FB makes a real policy change, they publish it. Until then, stay calm and keep posting.
