🇨🇴✡️ La Ley del Retorno Sefardí Reina Esther. CONTINÚA AVANZANDO EN COLOMBIA.
Un nuevo paso institucional.
El Ministerio del Interior, al responder la iniciativa remitida por la Presidencia de la República, reconoció su dimensión histórica, cultural, genealógica e identitaria, así como la importancia de las iniciativas ciudadanas destinadas a proteger la memoria histórica, el patrimonio cultural y la diversidad religiosa.
Y dejó abierta su disposición para continuar promoviendo escenarios de diálogo institucional y orientar las rutas que correspondan dentro de las competencias del Estado colombiano.
Hoy proponemos que ese diálogo permita articular a Ministerio del Interior, Ministerio de las Culturas, Centro Nacional de Memoria Histórica y demás instituciones competentes, para avanzar desde lo civil en la recuperación y documentación de una memoria sefardí que permaneció durante generaciones en numerosas familias colombianas.
¿Y por qué es tan importante documentar esa memoria?
Porque la propia iniciativa ya ofrece un primer caso concreto.
Aun sin haberse convertido en Ley de la República, la investigación histórica, genealógica, cultural y familiar desarrollada alrededor de su autor y promotor permitió presentar su caso ante un Beit Din en Israel, autoridad religiosa competente, obteniendo en su caso particular una certificación de Teshuvá y no de una nueva conversión.
Así comienza a demostrarse cómo pueden complementarse ambas dimensiones:
🇨🇴 Colombia recupera, investiga, documenta y protege su memoria histórica e identidad.
✡️ La autoridad rabínica, con absoluta independencia y conforme a la Halajá, determina lo religioso en cada caso.
Una no sustituye a la otra. Se respetan y pueden complementarse.
La Ley del Retorno Sefardí Reina Esther busca que las historias transmitidas durante generaciones puedan salir del silencio, ser investigadas y formar parte de la memoria real de Colombia, abriendo una ruta seria para los descendientes del Galut, primero en Colombia y como posible precedente para Latinoamérica.
Colombia puede abrir un camino histórico de memoria, identidad, justicia y futuro.
El Galut fue la semilla. Hoy esa semilla comienza a germinar.

🇨🇴✡️ THE QUEEN ESTHER SEPHARDIC RETURN LAW CONTINUES TO ADVANCE IN COLOMBIA.
A new institutional step has been reached.
Colombia’s Ministry of the Interior, responding to the initiative referred by the Presidency of the Republic, acknowledged its historical, cultural, genealogical and identity-related dimensions, as well as the importance of citizen initiatives aimed at protecting historical memory, cultural heritage and religious diversity.
The Ministry also expressed its willingness to continue promoting institutional dialogue and to provide guidance regarding the institutional pathways available within its legal authority.
We are therefore proposing that this dialogue bring together the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Cultures, the National Center for Historical Memory and other competent institutions, so that Colombia can advance, through its civil institutions, in recovering and documenting the Sephardic memory preserved for generations within many Colombian families.
Why is documenting this memory so important?
Because the initiative has already produced a first concrete example.
Even before becoming law, the historical, genealogical, cultural and family research developed around its author and promoter made it possible for his individual case to be presented before a Beit Din in Israel, the competent religious authority, resulting in a certification of Teshuvah rather than a new conversion.
This demonstrates how two distinct dimensions can complement one another:
🇨🇴 Colombia can recover, research, document and preserve its historical memory and identity.
✡️ Rabbinical authorities, independently and in accordance with Halachah, determine religious status and the appropriate religious path in each individual case.
Neither replaces the other. Each respects the other's authority, and together they can open a meaningful path forward.
The Queen Esther Sephardic Return Law seeks to give family histories transmitted across generations an opportunity to emerge from silence, be seriously researched and documented, and become part of Colombia's historical and cultural memory opening a responsible path for descendants of the Galut, first in Colombia and potentially as a precedent for Latin America.
Colombia can open a historic path of Memory, Identity, Justice and Future.
The Galut was the seed. Today, that seed is beginning to grow.

בקולומביה
צעד מוסדי חדש ומשמעותי.
משרד הפנים של קולומביה, בתשובתו ליוזמה שהועברה אליו על ידי נשיאות הרפובליקה, הכיר בממדיה ההיסטוריים, התרבותיים, הגנאלוגיים והזהותיים, וכן בחשיבותן של יוזמות אזרחיות המבקשות להגן על הזיכרון ההיסטורי, המורשת התרבותית והמגוון הדתי.
המשרד אף הביע את נכונותו להמשיך ולקדם מסגרות של דיאלוג מוסדי, ולהנחות באשר למסלולים המוסדיים האפשריים במסגרת סמכויותיו.
לכן אנו מציעים כי דיאלוג זה יחבר בין משרד הפנים, משרד התרבויות, המרכז הלאומי לזיכרון היסטורי ומוסדות מוסמכים נוספים, כדי שקולומביה תוכל לקדם, במישור האזרחי, את השבתו, מחקרו ותיעודו של הזיכרון הספרדי שנשמר במשך דורות בקרב משפחות קולומביאניות רבות.
מדוע תיעוד הזיכרון הזה חשוב כל כך?
מפני שהיוזמה כבר הניבה דוגמה ממשית ראשונה.
עוד בטרם הפכה לחוק, העבודה ההיסטורית, הגנאלוגית, התרבותית והמשפחתית שנעשתה סביב מחבר ומקדם היוזמה אפשרה להביא את עניינו האישי בפני בית דין בישראל, שהוא הסמכות הדתית המוסמכת, ובמקרה הפרטני שלו התקבלה תעודה של תשובה ולא של גיור חדש.
כך מתחיל להתברר כיצד שני המישורים יכולים להשלים זה את זה:
🇨🇴 קולומביה יכולה לשחזר, לחקור, לתעד ולשמר את הזיכרון ההיסטורי ואת הזהות.
✡️ הסמכות הרבנית, באופן עצמאי ובהתאם להלכה, היא הקובעת את המעמד הדתי ואת הדרך הדתית המתאימה בכל מקרה לגופו.
האחד אינו מחליף את האחר.
כל צד מכבד את סמכותו של האחר, וביחד ניתן לפתוח דרך משמעותית לעתיד.
חוק השיבה הספרדית – המלכה אסתר מבקש לאפשר לסיפורים משפחתיים שעברו מדור לדור לצאת מן השתיקה, להיחקר ולהיות מתועדים ברצינות, ולהפוך לחלק מן הזיכרון ההיסטורי והתרבותי של קולומביה — תוך פתיחת דרך אחראית לצאצאי הגלות, תחילה בקולומביה ובהמשך כתקדים אפשרי עבור אמריקה הלטינית.
קולומביה יכולה לפתוח דרך היסטורית של זיכרון, זהות, צדק ועתיד.
הגלות הייתה הזרע. היום הזרע הזה מתחיל לנבוט.
