They say “Israel controls the USA.”

Does this theory hold true when the American leader decides to sign a bad deal that puts Israel’s existence in jeopardy in the mid and long term?

If Israel controlled America, surely Israel would rip the paper it’s written on right in front of the American leader’s face and tell him to keep bombing.

But that hasn’t happened.

What does that tell you?

Maybe…

It is the opposite that was true all along?

Golda explained it best.

This land was named “Palestine” by the Romans nearly 2,000 years ago, after crushing a Jewish revolt, as an attempt to erase Jewish identity and invoke the memory of the long defeated Philistines.

For centuries, the region was ruled by the Ottomans and later the British. There was never an independent Arab state here called Palestine.

Golda Meir put it plainly:

“East and West Bank was Palestine. I’m a Palestinian. From ’21 to ’48 I carried a Palestinian passport. There was no such thing here as Jews, Arabs and Palestinians. There were Jews and Arabs.”

Baruch ben Neriah was the prophet Jeremiah’s scribe. His 2,600-year-old clay bulla was found in Jerusalem.

The seal bears the inscription in ancient Hebrew:

“Belonging to Berechyahu son of Neriyahu, the scribe.”

Baruch ben Neriah was the scribe and close companion of the prophet Jeremiah during the final years of the Kingdom of Judah before the Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem.

The Bible describes how Jeremiah dictated his prophecies to Baruch, who wrote them down on a scroll. When Jeremiah was forbidden from entering the Temple, Baruch publicly read the scroll before the people of Jerusalem. Later, King Jehoiakim ordered the scroll burned, but Jeremiah dictated the prophecies again, and Baruch rewrote them.

The discovery of a seal bearing the name “Berechyahu son of Neriyahu, the scribe” provides a remarkable connection to one of the most dramatic periods in biblical history, when Jerusalem stood on the brink of destruction by Babylon.

It is a direct connection to ancient Jerusalem more than 2,600 years ago.

Israeli Archaeologist discovers a 3,300-year-old structure believed to be Joshua’s Altar.

👉 Around it were 3,300-year-old animal remains that are kosher for biblical sacrifice

👉 Ancient Egyptian jewelry and seals from the biblical Exodus period were found near it.

👉 Its design closely matches biblical instructions for a Hebrew altar

Here’s the full story:

On Mount Ebal, Professor Adam Zertal, of blessed memory, discovered an ancient structure that is believed to be Joshua’s Altar.

In the 1970s, the young archaeologist decided to explore the hills of Samaria with a group of volunteers.

One day they decided to climb Mount Ebal, above Shechem. Suddenly they came across a structure and could not understand what it was. The structure was roughly 3,300 years old. It was clearly not a residential building. Someone had built it for a specific purpose. There were large quantities of animal bones at the site. Then they found Egyptian jewelry from the time of the pharaohs. They also found scarabs and Egyptian seals. They set up a camp there in order to continue investigating the structure.

The rabbi of Shavei Shomron became interested and met with Zertal. He went to his bookshelf and took out a Mishnah that included a drawing of what an ancient altar looked like. He asked Zertal whether what they had found looked like that. Zertal answered yes. Exactly like that. The rabbi then said, “You have found Joshua’s Altar.”

It turned out that the animal bones were from animals that are permitted for sacrifice according to Jewish law. Not donkeys or pigs, but sheep, goats, and cattle. The findings closely matched what one would expect at a sacrificial site.

And the Egyptian jewelry? Who built this altar? According to Zertal’s interpretation, the Children of Israel, after crossing the Jordan, ascended Mount Ebal and built this altar in preparation for the ceremony of blessing and curse, exactly as described in the Torah.

Carbon-14 testing and many additional findings led Zertal to conclude that this was the Altar of Joshua.

The Hidden Hebrew Link Between Clothing, Shame, and Betrayal, Mirroring the Biblical Story of Adam and Eve

As you know, the Hebrew Bible was written in the Hebrew language, which is a holy, fascinating, and deep language made up of letter combinations, double meanings, and hidden connections.

I wanted to share with you a beautiful double meaning that doesn’t exist in non-Hebrew versions of the Bible: the connection between clothing and betrayal.

👉 Beged / בגד

The biblical word for a piece of clothing, which we also use in Israel today, is Beged.

The root B-G-D also means to betray.

Boged means traitor. Bgida means betrayal.

This double meaning teaches us that when Adam and Eve were naked in the Garden of Eden they were also pure-hearted, and their betrayal of God meant that they had to wear clothes.

👉 Me’il / מעיל

The biblical word for a robe is Me’il.

“You shall make the robe of the ephod entirely of blue (techelet).”
Exodus 28:31

The Hebrew root of Me’il also correlates with a breach of trust.

“If a person commits a breach of trust…”
Leviticus 5:15

Both words originate from the same Hebrew root.

In modern Hebrew, we use the word Me’ila to describe cases of embezzlement.

👉 Levusha / לבושה

Here is another interesting double meaning.

Levusha literally means “she is dressed.”

But Levusha! can also be understood as “for shame!”

Once again, clothing and shame appear intertwined in the Hebrew language, echoing the story of Adam and Eve after eating from the Tree of Knowledge.

False - “European Jews are not really Jewish”

This claim is ridiculous. Those who say it clearly don’t know European Jews, their history, or their culture.

👉 Hebrew calendar
The Jews who lived in Europe followed the Hebrew calendar that developed in Babylon in the 6th century BC. The months were Nisan, Iyar, Sivan, Tammuz, Av, Elul, Tishrei, Cheshvan, Kislev, Tevet, Shevat, Adar. These month names appear on tombstones, wedding records, and various community records. People who “came from Europe” would not use a Hebrew, Levantine calendar.

👉 Yiddish - Hebrew letters
The language they spoke was written in Hebrew letters. Yiddish was an exile language with words from the various languages where Jewish people lived, but the common denominator was that they were written in Hebrew letters, the same letters Jewish people wrote in when the Second Temple was destroyed. Why would “people that came from Europe” not use Latin letters?

👉 Names
For most of the 2,000-year exile, Jews did not carry last names at all. They went by their first name, ben meaning son of or bat meaning daughter of, and the father’s name. Only about 200-300 years ago did European governments force them to take European last names for bureaucracy and taxation purposes. The names were usually a translation of their Hebrew name, the town they were from, or their profession.

👉 Jerusalem
A recurring motif throughout the entire exile is the yearning to return to Zion, as seen in the ending of the Passover tradition saying “Next year in Jerusalem,” breaking the glass at weddings while saying “Jerusalem, if I forget you, let my right hand forget its skill,” and in prayers about Jerusalem such as “and our eyes shall witness Your return to Zion.” Rabbi Yehuda HaLevi wrote in Spain in the early 1100s about his longing for Jerusalem.

👉 Talit
They prayed with the same talit their ancestors prayed with in the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem before the Romans destroyed it. Same scripture. Same tefillin. Same mezuzot on their doors. How could Europeans make this up?

👉 Jewish life
They observed the same religious festivals, ate kosher food, kept Shabbat, studied the Hebrew Bible with passion and dedication, and recited the same prayers.

👉 DNA
Research shows that Ashkenazi Jews have Levantine DNA. Look up the work of these researchers. It is absolutely fascinating: Harry Ostrer, Doron Behar, Michael Hammer, Karl Skorecki, Antonio Torroni, David Goldstein.

Bottom line:
To single out European Jews as not Jewish, or fake, or imposters, is simply repeating old Jew-hating tropes. It is a tool to keep the thorn in the side of the Jew even today, when the Jew has a strong sovereign nation, and is no longer a humiliated second-class citizen.

We are back in our national homeland, and our identity is as strong as it has been for millennia.

“God works in mysterious ways,” said the British poet William Cowper in 1773.

And it has been very true about what we’re seeing in the war of America and Israel against Iran.

It is beyond my understanding how, again and again, we fight wars executed to perfection by the Air Force, the intelligence services, and the defense units.

Then, weeks later, when it’s time to capitalize on those achievements, the Western leader just completely backs out and signs a surrender agreement.

I don’t understand it. Can someone please explain it?

None of these Hebrew leaders fought their enemies, achieved victory, and then capitulated:

👉 Joshua defeating the kings of Canaan during the Israelite conquest of the land.

👉 Deborah and Barak defeating the forces of Sisera.

👉 Gideon defeating the Midianites with a force of 300 men.

👉 Samson repeatedly striking the Philistines and, in his final act, bringing down the Philistine temple.

👉 King Saul defeating various enemies, including the Ammonites.

👉 David defeating Goliath and later subduing the Philistines, Moabites, Edomites, and other neighboring foes.

👉 King Asa defeating a large Cush*te force.

👉 King Jehoshaphat witnessing the defeat of a coalition of enemies after seeking divine guidance.

👉 King Hezekiah surviving the Assyrian invasion of Jerusalem.

👉 Judah Maccabee defeating Seleucid armies during the Maccabean Revolt.

Unless it’s a form of deception, I struggle to understand what’s happening.

Millions of descendants of Spanish Jews live in South America.

In South America today, there are millions of descendants of Jews who were forced to convert to Christianity in Spain and Portugal during the late 1400s and early 1500s.

Here is the story, in simple terms.

🔵 The Forced Conversions in Iberia
In 1492, the Catholic monarchs Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella I of Castile issued the Alhambra Decree, expelling Jews from Spain unless they converted to Christianity.

Hundreds of thousands converted under pressure. These converts were called conversos, New Christians, or in Hebrew Anusim, meaning “forced ones.”

In 1497, Manuel I of Portugal forced Portugal’s Jews to convert as well. Overnight, an entire Jewish population officially became Christian.

Many of these families secretly continued practicing Judaism. They became known as crypto-Jews.

🔵 Escape to the “New World”
Because suspicion and persecution were constant in Spain and Portugal, many conversos left for Spanish and Portuguese colonies in the Americas during the 1500s and 1600s.

They settled in places such as:

👉 Mexico
👉 Peru
👉 Colombia
👉 Brazil
👉 Bolivia
👉 Argentina
👉 Ecuador
👉 Panama
👉 Chile
👉 Cuba
👉 Costa Rica
👉 Venezuela
👉 Guatemala

They hoped distance would protect them from the Spanish Inquisition and Portuguese Inquisition.
But the Inquisition eventually reached the colonies as well.

🔵 Secret Jewish Practices
Many Anusim families preserved fragments of Judaism for generations.

Historians have documented practices such as:

👉 Lighting candles on Friday night
👉 Avoiding pork
👉 Covering mirrors during mourning
👉 Whispering Hebrew prayers they barely understood
👉 Cleaning the house before Passover
👉 Secret circumcision of boys

Often, these customs survived even when their original meaning was forgotten.

🔵 Rediscovery in Modern Times
In the last century, many families across Latin America have begun rediscovering their Jewish roots.

Today, millions of people in Latin America may descend from these forced converts. In countries like Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and Peru, some families have:

👉 Returned to Judaism
👉 Undergone formal conversion
👉 Immigrated to Israel

Some communities openly identify as Bnei Anusim (“children of the forced ones”).

🔵 Remarkable Survival
The story of the Anusim is one of the most remarkable survival stories in Jewish history.

Even after 500 years of hiding, fragments of Jewish identity endured in families with no synagogues, rabbis, or Hebrew books.

A powerful example of how Jewish identity survived exile, persecution, and time.

Israeli tour guide shares a simple historical account of what happened:

“I grew up in Petah Tikva, in the Ein Ganim neighborhood. Why is that neighborhood called Ein Ganim? It took me years to understand. Ein Ganim is a settlement mentioned in the Bible, and that is the name of Jenin.

Jenin was a Jewish settlement called Ein Ganim, so today it is the name of a neighborhood in Petah Tikva. Jenin was Jewish. Shechem was Jewish. Do you know what is amazing? How long Shechem remained Jewish.

Until the 1929 riots.

Everyone knows what happened in Hebron during the 1929 riots. Fifty-seven Jews were murdered there, to the best of my recollection. But people do not realize that the 1929 riots took place in every mixed community in the country.

The Jewish community in Shechem? Jews always lived there. They never left. It was destroyed in the 1929 riots.

The Jewish community in Jenin was destroyed in the 1929 riots.

The Jewish community in Gaza. We are talking about Gaza now.

There is currently a debate about whether ‘settlers’ should be allowed to resettle Gaza or not. Gaza always had a Jewish community. Jews always lived there.

The Jewish community was effectively destroyed in the 1929 riots, but that did not stop it. Jews returned and settled there again.

So the only time in history that what would be called ethnic cleansing was carried out against Jews in Gaza was during the disengagement.

The disengagement was the first ethnic cleansing carried out against Jews in Gaza from the time the people of Israel returned from Egypt until Ariel Sharon.

Now, if you understand the history, you understand that Gaza always had a Jewish presence. We are the owners of Gaza no less than the Arabs, and… Perhaps even more.

So why should we not be allowed to return to the land of our ancestors? Why should we not be allowed to return home?”
