My name is Namrita Gautier - A graphic Designer by Training. At CRÉATIF SŪTRAS Studio, I give space and time to approach this with the ultimate focus and expression to bring my creativity to life. Years ago, I studied Textile Design. However as life took me to Auroville,an International Township in India, I wanted to pursue something that was more in tune with who I was growing into. Fascinated by
my country's beauty and the different cultural influences
that I am exposed to in Auroville has strongly inspired my style. After studying Graphic Design, I have worked for the last 16 years (2004-2020) with Maroma as Design Director. In this year of global changes, I have decided to start a new adventure to set up an independent venture into the world of beauty. I have done independent work for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Museum of Indian History Pune, India, curating various exhibition panels for them. Some of these exhibitions have travelled internationally to the USA and Europe. My passion and training as a textile designer has always kept me connected to this world rich in textures, weaves and colours. Over the years I have created home accessories using fabrics in their pure and raw forms and even upcycling them to give them new life and form. I am located locally in Auroville International Township, Pondicherry, India, but available globally. I am extremely fortunate to have turned what I love into a career that is both fulfilling and joyful. I'm Inspired by colour and the beauty of nature that surrounds me in Auroville and the creative energy of this dynamic township made up of people from 50 different countries adding their cultural influences which enriches my designs and is reflected in all my work. I offer creative direction and focus on what draws a reaction out of people in a world of unexpected beauty.
