DC B'pora Owais Ahmed conducts surprise Evening inspection of District Hospital,
Takes feedback from patients.

Bandipora Dec 20:
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora Dr. Owais Ahmed on tuesday conducted surprise evening inspection of District Hospital Bandipora in order to oversee the healthcare facilities being provided to the patients.
He was accompanied by Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad.

During the surprise visit the Deputy Commissioner checked night duty roaster of medical & paramedical staff, heating arrangements, availability of drugs/medicines at pharmacies and functioning of laboratories/diagnostic units etc.

The Deputy Commissioner made a thorough round of various units of the hospitals including X-ray unit, Emergency Block, Surgical Wards, Operation Theatre, Ayushman Bharat Help Desk etc.

On the occasion, Dr. Owais interacted with the patients, attendents, doctors and the para medical staff on duty.

He took feedback from the patients regarding the available patient care facilities and provision of medicines and other facilities to the patients and their attendants.

Dr. Owais asked the MS DH Bandipora to ensure availability of Medical and Para-Medical staff strictly as per the devised roster.

He stressed on round the clock availability of doctors and stressed on cleanliness in and around the hospital premises.

☑️ *Elderly man dies in queue while waiting to submit old age pension form in Bandipora*

🔘👉🏻 ```Bandipora,Dec 20:In a shocking incident, an elderly man died while waiting in a queue to submit old age pension form in north Kashmir's Bandipora district on Tuesday.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the man suddenly collapsed while he was waiting in queue to submit old age pension form at Tehsil Social Welfare Office Bandipora.

He said soon after he was rushed to district hospital Bandipora, where he was declared dead on arrival due to cardiopulmonary arrest as the suspected cause of death.

The official identified him as Sonaullah Bhat (62) son Ghulam Hassan Bhat of Malangam.

Meanwhile, a police official while confirming the incident said the man died of natural death and his body has been handed over to police after legal formalities.```

The Awareness Camp was chaired by SDM Sumbal Dr Bashir Ahmad Lone besides him Sheep & wool development officer Hajin Dr. Nuzhat Wali , Dr. Irfan Hassan parrah & Dr. Farukh Mehraj Were also in the Presidium.

Bandipora girl explores the Unexplored Destinations

Bandipora:-Kashmir is bestowed with the beauty of Nature having beautiful tourist destinations all across its landscape.Bandipora, a remote district of North Kashmir is a land of many tourist destination be it Asia's largest fresh water lake Wular lake or Sheerasar, one of the highest peaks in Bandipora having potential of adventure Tourism.

:-Sahabnam Bashir, a young tribal Girl living near the woods of Quil Muqam Reshwari took to the journey of exploring the other unexplored tourist destination of District Bandipora and was successful to discover some new unexplored tourist destinations on the land of Bandipora also called the land of 3As- Alim, Adab and Aab.Shabnam,a 24 year old researched for 4 consistent years so that unexplored tourist destination could be explored and brought on tourism map. In the year 2021 she published her research in a book namely "Unexplored Kashmir". The book was released by district administration Bandipora
Nachni, Dumgali etc were some of the unexplored tourist destinations she discovered and wrote about in her book. She also put for the concept of Local Home Stay to promote tourism in the area which was well supported by the administration. She did not stop here but knocked the doors of District Administration to conduct first of its kind festival, The Ketson Festival in the upper reaches of Aloosa belt in the woods.The Festival witness rush of all the age groups. During the festival traditional activities were showcased which are rare in the modern times.

District Administration and locals hailed the efforts of the young girl. People expressed hope that such efforts shall preserve the rich tribal culture and promote tourism in the area thereby providing livelihood to the Local Youth.

Quoting an official, news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reported that fire broke out in the school building at Turknaadi in the wee hours today morning.
