Speeches are boring, workshops are exhausting… more than often we hear comments like these. But, what if the person on the stage is dressed beautifully, uniquely and is attractive, that would hold the audience for a while… don’t you agree…?
As an image consultant,I often find myself on stage addressing diverse audiences, so, each time am up there I need to resonate with each one of them at different levels. A lot of background work goes into this, preparing what to talk tops the list yes, but images speak louder and half my job is done when am able to capture my audience’s attention visually.
Being on stage requires approachability and a sense of authority to go hand in hand… the audience need to realise that you are there to say something that they don’t know and they need to listen to you, while,
making them feel comfortable to ask for any suggestions, any questions… you need to make that connect with them.
