During the visit, the Chief Secretary toured Campus I and Campus III of the university and inspected various laboratories and academic facilities. CM Surinder Choudhary Says Govt Committed to Fulfilling Promises Despite Challenges
Uri, May 20: Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister on Tuesday said that the government led by Chief Minister remains committed to fulfilling all promises made to the people despite facing several challenges.
While talking to reporters in Uri, the Deputy Chief Minister said, “Our government is working sincerely for the welfare of the people. We are not like PDP, BJP or PC, who made false promises.”
On the issue of bunkers in border areas, he said that the government has already submitted the required list to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and expressed hope that the proposals would receive approval soon.
Responding to the debate over a ban on alcohol in Kashmir, Surinder Choudhary said that a “big conspiracy” has been created around the issue and claimed that most wine shops were opened during the BJP-PDP regime.
“The growing menace of drugs is the real issue that needs immediate attention. I do not advocate alcohol, and it can be stopped anytime, but the bigger concern for society today is drug abuse,” he added
