Hello Team,
We recently reported a verified account that is sending inappropriate messages to one of our clients and appears to be impersonating another individual by using his photographs. We also contacted the original person whose images are being used, and he has reported the account as well.
However, we received a response from stating that the profile does not violate community guidelines. We would like clarification on the following:
1. How does a Meta Verified badge get approved in cases where the display photo belongs to another individual?
2. Could you please specify which guideline parameters were reviewed in this case? From our understanding, using someone elseβs identity and images while engaging in abusive behavior should fall under impersonation and safety violations.
As a digital marketing agency, we work closely with the platform and appreciate the support Meta has provided in the past. Our intent is not to challenge the decision, but to understand the process better and ensure user safety is prioritized in cases like this.
We request a re-evaluation of this profile and a clearer explanation of the review outcome.
P.S. We have blurred the username as the account is using our clientβs name in a defamatory manner. However, the case ID is provided for Meta's reference and review. If required, we are willing to share any additional information to assist in this matter.
