Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati has announced plans to launch an OLX-style platform called "Go-LX" aimed at preventing cow slaughter in India.

During a public address, the seer said, "If any Hindu wants to sell their cow, we will buy it," adding that the platform will connect cow owners directly with people involved in cow protection. According to reports, the website is being developed to stop cows from reaching slaughterhouses and allow "gau sevaks" to care for them instead.

The statement and the "Go-LX" name quickly went viral online, sparking mixed reactions and heavy discussion across social media platforms.

Leaders of the Arunachal Pradesh Indigenous Youth Organisation (APIYO) have issued a strong warning against alleged illegal immigration, declaring they will "d*e fighting" but never allow Bangladeshi Muslims to settle in the state.

In a press conference held at the Arunachal Press Club in Itanagar this week, APIYO representatives raised concerns over illegal mosque constructions, fake Inner Line Permits (ILPs), and demographic changes threatening indigenous tribal identity.

The group, led by figures including president Taro Sonam Liyak, described the issue as a national security matter rather than a purely state concern, pointing to alleged daily influxes of migrants from Bangladesh and other areas.

"If the Chief Minister fails to act despite written assurance, neither the Government nor I will sleep peacefully," Sonam said.

APIYO has previously organised rallies and issued ultimatums to the government demanding deportation of illegal immigrants and demolition of unauthorised structures.

'Oggy Janata Party' launched to counter parody outfit 'Cockroach Janta Party'

A satirical outfit called 'Oggy Janata Party (OJP)' has been launched in response to the 'Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)', which garnered millions of followers within five days. While CJP was formed based on CJI Surya Kant's comment, OJP's name is inspired by the famous cartoon series 'Oggy and the Cockroaches'. OJP alleged CJP has AAP links and criticised its messaging.

US government has released a second batch of declassified files related to Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs), commonly known as UFOs, as part of a broader transparency effort. The release reportedly includes 222 declassified files, historical reports, and more than 50 videos, covering cases ranging from Cold War-era sightings to recent military encounters.

Officials said the material is intended to provide greater public access to previously restricted records. While several incidents remain unexplained, authorities stated that unresolved cases do not automatically indicate extraterrestrial activity and require further analysis.

Oil companies on Saturday raised petrol and diesel prices across India by over 90 paise per litre amid rising global crude oil prices linked to the ongoing conflict in West Asia.

In Guwahati, petrol prices increased from β‚Ή102.11 to 103.01 per litre, while diesel prices rose from β‚Ή93.44 to β‚Ή94.39 per litre.

This marks the third fuel price hike this month following the 3 increase on May 15 and another 90 paise hike on May 19 after nearly four years of stable pricing.

Overall, petrol and diesel prices have now increased by around 24.8 per litre in multiple revisions since May 15.

The latest hike comes as international crude oil prices continue to surge due to geopolitical tensions in West Asia.

Fuel prices across the country had largely remained unchanged since April 2022, except for a 2 per litre reduction announced in March 2024 ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
