Six months ago, I experienced a severe injury during a plyometric workout—both my legs and shins were badly wounded, blood pouring out, and I even blacked out twice. Walking felt impossible. The road to recovery was daunting, filled with pain and frustration. Yet, I was determined to fight back.
Every day, despite persistent pain, I committed to running 3 kilometers daily. Those runs weren’t easy—they were slow, painful, and often accompanied by doubts. But each step was a victory, a rebuilding of strength and endurance.
As the Vedanta Half Marathon approached, my realistic goal was just to finish within 2.15 or 2.30 on a tough day. But on sunday, all that hard work paid off and I crossed the finish line in 1 hour 58 minutes, breaking the 2-hour barrier and setting a new personal best.
This journey taught me that resilience is not about rushing recovery; it's about persistence, healing, and showing up every day, even when it’s hard. Now, I’m gearing up for my next challenge, maybe motorsports, ready to push boundaries once again.
To anyone fighting their own battles—keep pushing. The comeback is always stronger than the setback. 🏃♂️🔥🏁
