পান বাকি নিয়ে হিন্দু দোকানদারকে হত্যা ,,,,
মানিকগঞ্জের সিংগাইর উপজেলার জয়মন্টপ মাছ বাজারে পান বাকি দেওয়াকে কেন্দ্র করে সংঘর্ষের ঘটনায় শ্রীবাস চন্দ্র সাহা (৫৫) নামে এক পান দোকানদারের মৃত্যু হয়েছে।
নিহত শ্রীবাস চন্দ্র সাহার স্থায়ী বাড়ি রংপুর জেলায়। তিনি দীর্ঘ ১০-১২ বছর যাবৎ জয়মন্টপ মাছ বাজারে পান বিক্রি করে জীবিকা নির্বাহ করে আসছিলেন।
স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা যায়, ঈসা মোল্লা, পিতা- আফা মোল্লা, সাং- ভাকুম নদীর পাড় ব্যাঙ্গা মার্কেট, প্রায়ই শ্রীবাস চন্দ্র সাহার দোকান থেকে বাকি পান খেতেন। আজ শুক্রবার সকাল আনুমানিক ১০টার দিকে আবারও পান বাকি চাইলে দোকানদার বাকি দিতে অস্বীকৃতি জানান। এ সময় উভয়ের মধ্যে কথা কাটাকাটি হয়।
একপর্যায়ে অভিযোগ রয়েছে, ঈসা মোল্লা দোকানদার শ্রীবাস চন্দ্র সাহার কলার ধরে তাকে লাথি মারেন। এতে তিনি ঘটনাস্থলেই অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়েন এবং পরে তার মৃত্যু হয় বলে স্থানীয়রা জানান।
ঘটনার সময় প্রত্যক্ষদর্শী হিসেবে জালাল উদ্দিন, চান মিয়া, শংকর সাহাসহ আরও অনেকেই উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
এ ঘটনায় এলাকায় চাঞ্চল্যের সৃষ্টি হয়েছে। পরিবারের পক্ষ থেকে সংশ্লিষ্ট সিংগাইর থানায় কোন অভিযোগ দায়ের করা হয়নি। এই প্রতিনিধি সিংগাইট থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা ওসি মাজহারুল ইসলাম এর কাছে জানতে চাইলে ঘটনার বিবরণ সম্পর্কে তিনি কিছু শুনতে পাননি।

A paan shopkeeper named Shrivas Chandra Saha (55) has died in a clash over the sale of leftover paan at the Joymantop fish market in Singair upazila of Manikganj.
The deceased Shrivas Chandra Saha's permanent home is in Rangpur district. He had been making a living by selling paan at the Joymantop fish market for 10-12 years.
According to local sources, Isa Molla, father- Afa Molla, of Sang- Bhakum river bank, Banga Market, often used to eat leftover paan from Shrivas Chandra Saha's shop. Today, Friday, at around 10 am, when he asked for leftover paan again, the shopkeeper refused to give him the leftover paan. At that time, an argument broke out between the two.
At one stage, it is alleged that Isa Molla grabbed shopkeeper Shrivas Chandra Saha by the collar and kicked him. As a result, he fell ill on the spot and later died, according to locals.
Jalal Uddin, Chan Mia, Shankar Saha and many others were present as eyewitnesses during the incident.
The incident has created a sensation in the area. No complaint has been filed by the family at the relevant Singair police station. When this correspondent asked the officer-in-charge of Singair police station, OC Mazharul Islam, he could not hear anything about the details of the incident.
