There are moments in life when giving back to society feels less like a responsibility and more like a privilege.
When the floods came, they devastated lives, homes and dreams. Like many others, I felt compelled to step forward—not merely to help in the immediate aftermath, but to contribute towards rebuilding something that could create a lasting impact.
One of the most meaningful parts of this journey has been supporting the restoration of a school that can accommodate around 100 students and, more importantly, give children a place to learn, dream and build their future.
On 5th September, Teachers’ Day, the restored school was formally handed over to the community.
And today, 6th September, something truly special happened—the first batch of students walked into their classroom.
With this, Puhor Education Centre cm Library has formally opened its doors to the students. Seeing those young minds enter a space that was once affected by devastation, but now stands ready to nurture their dreams, is a feeling that is difficult to put into words.
Puhor means light
And my deepest hope is that this light does not remain confined within the four walls of this school. May it pierce through the darkness that life may sometimes bring, illuminate the path of these children, and empower them to dream bigger, aim higher and achieve greater heights.
Today, I feel grateful—not only for being able to give back, but for being part of a collective effort that reminds us that when we come together, we can turn devastation into hope, and hope into a brighter future.
May Puhor always shine. 🕯️📚✨
